了第四个，他的答案那个面试官不懂，大概与他的标准答案不大一致。 LG给他从头讲
，讲到最后他说这个是work的。这一轮感觉不错的，但今天recruiter回信说拒了。
实在是搞不明白，到底问题出在哪里。又没有behavior 的问题，全是技术的话，难道
不是都答对了就进入下一轮么？主要是想弄清楚问题在哪里，下次面试的时候也好心里
有个底。有在google工作的人知道原因，或是近期有google 电话面试的人有类似经历

software第一次面试大概问你几个题，什么C语言里面static是干啥的等等基本题目，然
后给你布置一个作业题让你提交，以前比较多的是自己写一个memcpy。代码交给对方满
意了才真正开始面试

online test -
if you got GMAT 650 + then it's a piece of cake, it's desiged to kill black
guys or white MBA.
mainly answer questions based on charts and tables, dont spend more than
150seconds in one question, move on if you cant figure it out.

第一通电话：
１、指定我简历中的一篇一作文章，让我描述那文章里的内容
２、如何从一个只含有ASCII字符的字符串中找出最频繁的字符
我说用哈希表记录每个字符出现次数，然后他又补充问到哈希表是怎么工作的，我说包
括哈希函数和冲突处理两部分，并简述了一下，说由于字符不太多，可以用链表处理冲突
３、如果这个字符串含有32位Unicode字符的串，如何修改之前的算法
我说为了节省空间，可以把冲突处理方式改成rehashing
４、如果一个同事提出用一个array来记录各个字符的次数，比较你的算法和该同事算
法的优劣
很明显，他出这个题是期望我在第２问中说用array来记录，然后第３问再让我改成
hash，结果我第二问直接就用hash了。我说时间上差不多，但是用于处理ASCII时，
array比较省空间，处理Unicode时，hash比较省空间
５、如果这个字串数据量很大，而且分布在多台机器上，同时由于带宽限制，不能把整个
hash在多台机器中传输，怎么办？
这题没答上来，花了很长时间，后来先下一题的代码，然后还有时间，继续回答这题，最终还是没答

我答的是这样的，请大家指正。
我谈了做实习时给图做优化，sign extension的问题。eda的东西，他听了似乎不是太
有兴趣。
hashtable O(1) access time， no order，通过key来map
bst O(logn) time, but can retain the order of stored item
我一开始说bst是balanced tree. 他指出不是。又问bst不balance会怎么样，worst
time analysis. 以及有啥方法balance. 我跟他说avl tree 或者红黑树，但没要求写
具体代码。
接着还追问了hash collision怎么处理，我说可以弄个list append上去，或者probing
(然后稍微解释了下probing)
我首先想到的是debug statement的副作用，可能里面执行了什么函数。其他我说想不
出来。他说加了一行code会改变什么？我说executable大小会改变，load到内存位置也
会不一样。我说可能是内存某一块坏了，刚好load到了那块。接着他问还会改变什么？

比方说，通过初步分析，我认为这个问题可以通过某个算法（例如DP或者 Minimum
Spanning Tree 的Prim's algorithm）来解决。但在面试中，面试者记不清楚一些重要
细节，无法编下去。
显然，这种情况是比较糟糕的。但我们的问题是，假设面试者要做一些“挣扎”，是直
接告诉面试官你的思路，当前分析结果，委婉说明"i don't remember some details
to code it out..."呢, 还是继续在这一个题目中挖深，打转，在现场试图把你忘记的
部分推导出来？ 还是委婉的建议面试官换一道题目？
另外，如果一个45min的电面，包括one algorithm/design question and one coding
task. 一般，编码会给多少时间？如果面试者编码不快，可以事前向面试官建议早一些
开始编码吗？
