Evaluation and Research. One thing she mentioned was interesting. It
sounded like that FDA was challenging NIH on the reliability of academic
research data. A huge amount of money was wasted because many researches on
drug development in industry were misled by unreliable data from academic

于CRO, 工作时间可能还更短。

院的研究就是Academic Masturbation。他自己经常不太好意思同企业界（包含他的MBA
企业界学生）交流他的研究。
看来商学学术界还有很长一段路要走。除了这一次，我自己记得或者经历过的对商学学
术研究的批评就有（？是记忆模糊之处）：
1.卡耐基财团在HBR（？） 上发文批评商学研究style。
2.福特财团在HBR（？）上发文批评商学研究style。
3.原Management Sci.主编在MS 50周年上称管理学研究同几百年前的化学差不多（当时
的化学家就是巫师）
4.Wharton一教授在 POMS 的Keynote 上称：Industry drives management academia;
Management academia never drives industry.
5.企业界著名人物公开宣称对商学研究的不重视或者是蔑视（如Carlos Ghosn）。
6.很多发达国家对MBA 及商学研究的不重视或者是蔑视（如日本，德国）。
在搞自然科学的人眼里，经济学都难算一门科学 |

as if money gets you into any grad program.

之后在公司做研发快4年 （ME),工资还马马虎虎，这两年在国内一个985高校兼职教授
，联合带几个硕士生。
最近在准备转回学术界，找academic positions.我目前的策略是，只要不是专门
teaching的，不是社区大学，是tenure-track的，和背景相关的职位，我就申请一下。
刚刚来这个版面，看到挺多朋友抱怨入了烂校换学校比较难。我需要调整一下策略吗？
还是说目前还是应该先入行再说？

在正式的appointment offer过来了, 信上写的是 "offer you an appointment as
Assistant Professor in the College of XXXX at XXXX University for the

请问这是正常的吗?难道合同要每年都重新renew?
另外一个问题是， 这个职位是9个月的，但是letter上说是今年8月到明年8月 26次bi-
weekly的payment. 这个是不是写错了阿，9个月的工资难道分成12个月发？？如果我中
间暑假教课的话，工资怎么算？
