academic不一定做serious research. 就算做research大多数人也出不了名. 看人片子
是工作,看老鼠就是research了, clinical research 门槛很低.好多在academic 的人
不愿承认, 其实好混. 在academic也能100%service, be a clinician-educator.
现在钱途好的derm, GI. Heme要看你本事,有好有差.如果就想挣钱,又不愿动脑子,又要
顾家, 做derm or GI, heme 也行, 进公司.
据说cornell不低, memorial 也不错.
从NYC penn station 开始, 往外开, 每隔50公里加5万, 200公里打住,估计工资已翻番.
academic 做过不一定有优势. 首先起薪差别不大,举例:academic, 1st yr $140k, 2nd
yr $145K,..5th yr 160K.

我听去年申请病理的一些同学的说法是，现在病理非常competitive，不少非常优秀的
AMGs也在申，因为life style好。

，毕竟每个人要根据自己的个人爱好走自己的路。
病理和大多数学科不太一样，和中国病理不是一回事。在美国，病理算是临床科室，和
中国基础科室不一样。
1）好处：最大的好处是，工作时间比较flexible，一般住院医前三年比较累，后面很
轻松，尤其是attending以后。 有的fellowship也会累的
2）就业：两大类，五小类。
两大类，academic or private。
academic两种：1. 一边做科研，一边看片子，科研+临床（大的医学院，医学院拥有医
院）， 有科研要求；2， 教学医院，医院和医学院是affiliate的，对科研要求不高。

2002年毕业生刘菊花硕士学位论文涉嫌抄袭事件。
据不完全统计，包括中央电视台、中央人民广播电台、新华社在内的多家权威媒体报道
了该事件，网络媒体对此事件的转载和传播更是不计其数。不仅如此，《中国日报》对
该事件的英文报道还将这一丑闻传遍了全世界。因此，依法对刘菊花硕士论文涉嫌抄袭
案加以查处，不仅事关刘菊花本人，而且关系到贵院、中国研究生与学位教育质量、人
