小弟现在有关于申请phd的推荐信事宜求教。困惑不已，烦请前辈指条明路。
背景是国内综排top4 食品专业，大三2+2到美国综排top15读生物。concentration 是
computational biology，但是实验经历，不管国内国外，都是在分子生物学的wet lab
。现在大四上申请季，准备申请bioinformatics 的phd。
推荐信前两封都搞定，感觉比较稳，但是有问题。第一个是现在实验室的老板，人很厚
道也很支持，但是他跟我说他做yeast的，在bioinformatics里面的人应该都不知道他
，最后硬着头皮让他写了。第二个是advisor，不是faculty但是是undergraduate
research director,非常熟悉我的情况，说会write me a strong letter，但是也坦言
说自己没有研究经历，不知道效果如何。
第三封，有两个选择，第一个是国内大学的院长，人很好，为了2+2项目打了很多交道
，也很了解我。跟她说让她写推荐信，她答应亲自给我写。但是写的内容也不会涉及

，Summary of past research accomplishments会把PhD工作罗列进去吗？还是主要讲
postdoc的工作。
这部分我只读过一个朋友发给我的样本，开始有个整个工作的介绍，然后讲过去的’相
关‘工作，然后未来研究。但是如果PhD时做的不完全一样，而且不一定和future
research有关系，需要写进去吗？
2. 我准备把现在手头一个课题写进未来研究中。而现在的老板可能过阵子也会把这个
project拿去申请funding。当然跟老板商量怎么分是没问题的。但是就现在propose来
说，是否可以不用解决project分配的问题，只是泛泛的讲述一个这个project？
3. future research一般propose多少方向为宜？是否可以propose自己尚未发表文章的
方向。比如我现在对某些imaging技术很有兴趣，虽然我以前的文章也用过很多不同的

不需要写入 PhD时做的不完全一样的那些Publicatuons records.

取决于你申请的position的方向，如果两个都写当然最好，最好有些传乘性 或者互补。

这个还是依据你的具体情况，比如PhD工作和现在的相关性或是PhD工作的重要性，或是
PhD工作和你申请单位是否有match之类的。写进去的篇幅也是具体情况具体分析
