I am not sure why the Obama campaign keeps releasing TV ads featuring Mitt
Romney drubbing their candidate in last week's debate.
First there was the "How Can You Trust Romney?" ad which disputes Romney's
assertion that he is not in favor of a $5 trillion tax cut. It is the ad
which asks, "If we can't trust him here then how could we ever trust him
here?" The heres in question are the debate podium and the Oval Office,
respectively.

个人觉得ads以后路更宽一点，毕竟外面做这个的公司很多。
而search除了google几乎就没地方去了，小公司基本都直接用lucene。
但是google search的名气大，是不是即使转方向这个背景也有帮助？

如何选择想问一下版上有经验的前辈：我是phd转行，有一点ML和统计的背景，基本上
觉得什么组都能接受，但是能用上ML最好。现在只有两个组联系我：
1. Mobile app ads：做backend infra的一些data processing pipeline，比如统计
app installation什么的，目前没有什么ML的东西。我个人感觉这个组更成熟一些，
impact比较大，但会不会做的东西有点琐碎？
2. Hands free payment：不知道有没有人比较了解，是G家比较新的product，现在正
在南湾测试，director有很多new feature的想法，比如加入face recognition什么的
，会用到ML。但现在整个组只有十多人，还有一部分要负责目前的测试，director想要
我去的subteam负责试这些新的feature，现在只有两个人，感觉好处是个人影响大一些
，不过是不是product太新了，风险有点大。。
不知道各位有什么好的建议吗？谢谢！ |
