最近一直挺忙的，也没什么时间上网。看到大家抗议ABC的游行组织的很不错，
有了一些启发，不由得想起了张纯如。她九年前得十一月九号去世，终年只
有三十六岁。
回想起来，在美国的这么多年，最佩服的就是她了。虽然近年来，她的名气
冷淡下去，在湾区的华人圈里也少有人记得。但说起对美国华人的贡献，为华
人的付出，我觉得张纯如的作为远远超过了那些华裔政客，超过了大家熟知
的华裔的富豪们，甚至也超过了成龙李安这样的影视巨星。
在近现代的中国人里，张纯如算是个异数。以前好像有个文化人说过，汉人

我们知道，医疗保险的实质是让参与者中比较健康的人为生病的人出钱看病，得到的好
处是将来自己也生病了，会有其他人帮助自己看病。但这个思路有个重大缺陷。设想保
险公司要推出一项医保计划，如果对参保者不分身体健康状况统一收费，则这项医保对
于重病号的价值会比对于健康人高得多。毕竟健康人平时只是发烧感冒之类小病偶尔去
看医生，重病号一个大手术就花出天价。在这情况下，最健康的那部分人会觉得很不合
算而退保，毕竟自己很少生病，为何要活雷锋一般出大笔钱为素不相识的重病号交治疗
费？因为退出的人正好是产生医疗费最少的那批，余下的总医疗费平摊到每人身上就更
高了。为了保本，保险公司只能提高保费，这又会促使新的健康参保人退出，然后只好
再次提价。。。依此恶性循环，参保人中重病号越来越多，健康人为生病的人出资的设
想就难以为继，保险计划会最终破产。
这个会导致健康人不断退出的机制就叫做“负向选择”（adverse selection）。负向
