January at Chicago AFA meeting.I was told that they would inform me of their
decision after Chinese New Year.
After Chinese New Year, I emailed the professor in charge 3 times and even
asked an Aemrican professor to email him and the dean. They just totally
ignored my emails and the professor's emails(he knew the dean the the
professor in charge). I even told them that I would love to teach for free

made offers on-site in Chicago (AFA meeting) and put some others on a
waiting list.
I just don't understand why they couldn't just simply tell me that "we haven
't made final decisions yet". Whenever I asked a university in USA or Canada
, I always got instant response. Why was it so hard to communicate with them

Economics, with some Financial Economics. Also, there will be more
industry jobs compared to FMA or AFA.

the convention ratees (either due to cancelations or that they end up having
more rooms). But you need to register for the meeting first.
If you are not sure, you can call AEA to confirm with them, and then
register for the meeting only if they still have hotel rooms available. The
deadline has past so the registration fee is not refundable. |

一个女副校长讲话，一堆假大空的官话，底下听的人也乱糟糟的。虽然我也觉得她讲话
挺没劲的，但我还是希望大家能有点起码的素质和对人的尊重。人大还来了几个莫名其
妙的人，其中一个中年妇女的尤为扎眼，厚眼睛，披肩发，马靴，背包，不知道到底是
干什么的。貌似还听到他们有个什么处长说，人家办一个RECEPTION，我们就办两个，
不是显得重视么。貌似他们就是来跟上面教任务的，不是来招人的。
呆了一会，去了上财的。刚一进去，就被镇住了。田国强院长在前面讲话，底下的人站
成2排，鸦雀无声。我因为来的晚，只听到了两句。但也感觉字字句句都让人感觉上财
是真正来招人的，说的都是关于海龟concern的问题。中间还和别的院长聊了几句，感
觉都还不错，挺平易近人的。就是名字记不住了。觉得这是个GROWING SCHOOL. 他们说
关于海龟的制度都很透明，不会有什么猫腻。
长江的没去，记错时间了。高金也没去，他们是星期四的。我星期五才到的。但听说也
没什么人讲话。
转天先去的交大，
没有正式人讲话，但是经济学院的院长和几个老师来了，说了说话。他们经济金融都招
