(1) Regional Jets Struggle For Traction In China. Aviation Week, Apr 25,
2011.
This report is for subscribers only. It talks about regional jets. But most
important, it mentions airports in China are mostly underutilized. I will go
to a library tonight and make a few quotes available tomorrow.
My point is return on investment (ROI) dimishes over time even under the
best of circumstances. China seems profligate and prodigal to me.

减，还要再加2个trillion，然后还要再减税20%，最后还能堵上赤字的窟窿。不知道要
满足多少先决条件才能实现这一蓝图。很多人认为还是balanced approach现实一些。
当然，他的47%言论也帮不了他任何忙。
说到social issue，其实这种难题最好的解决办法就是传统的GOP的政策：“state
right”， 各州自己解决去。可现在的GOP要通过联邦修宪来禁止同性婚姻，Romney也
支持， 那同性婚姻现在至少在八个州合法，这不等于剥夺人家的state right吗？他以

据保加利亚索非亚新闻社7月16日报道， 土耳其空军总司令阿比丁·乌纳尔（Abidin Unal）是在伊斯坦布尔出席空军将领默罕默德·沙姆韦拉女儿婚礼时被挟持的，当时五架搭载政变者的直升机降落在举行婚礼的花园里，政变者随即开火，将乌纳尔、沙姆韦拉等人绑架。

笔下的白话文愈写愈成熟，无论表情达意或是分析事理，都能运用自如。另一方面，道
地的中文，包括文言文与民间文学的白话文，和我们的关系日渐生疏，而英文的影响，
无论来自直接的学习或是间接的潜移默化，则日渐显著，因此一般人笔下的白话文，西
化的病态日渐严重。一般人从大众传媒学到的，不仅是流行的观念，还有那些观念赖以
包装的种种说法；有时，那些说法连高明之士也抗拒不了。今日的中文虽因地区不同而
互见差异，但共同的趋势都是繁琐与生硬，例如中文本来是说「因此」，现在不少人却
爱说「基于这个原因」；本来是说「问题很多」，现在不少人却爱说「有很多问题存在
」。对于这种化简为繁、以拙代巧的趋势，有心人如果不及时提出警告，我们的中文势
必越变越差，而地道中文原有的那种美德，那种简洁而又灵活的语文生态，也必将面目

客，但为了从初选出线，不得不向极右转，甚至攻击铁杆保守派Rick Perry的移民政策
，结果自己的self deportation言论到了普选就成了靶子。
VP选了Paul Ryan, 共和党的明日之星，面对巨额赤字，毫不妥协的只许减支，不许加
哪怕一点点的税；减支什么都可以减，就是不能减军费。到了Romney， 不但军费不能
减，还要再加2个trillion，然后还要再减税20%，最后还能堵上赤字的窟窿。不知道要
满足多少先决条件才能实现这一蓝图。很多人认为还是balanced approach好一些。当
然，他的47%言论也帮不了他任何忙。
说到social issue，其实这种难题最好的解决办法就是traditional GOP的政策：“
state right”， 各州自己解决去。可现在的GOP要通过联邦修宪来禁止同性婚姻，
Romney也支持， 那同性婚姻现在至少在八个州合法，这不等于剥夺人家的 state
right吗？他以前当州长的MA也在列。

moral majority在政坛上出现并把里根送进白宫之后，Christian right就成了共和党
一个极为重要的组成部分，即使moral majority后来解散，但其对共和党的影响是深远
的， 一直影响到今天的tea party许多立场。 而眼下的共和党在和大程度上又被tea
party所绑架。 每到大选，value voter作为共和党的一块重要基本盘， 是其必须保证
的， 结果也导致共和党在一些issue上极为保守。 但随着新老选民的交替，这种立场
也疏远了不少年轻的人和温和的选民。过去共和党每每祭起family value的大旗，总是
无往不胜，可这一次大选，四个有关同性婚姻的公投全输了； 按说经济形势这么不好
，共和党闭着眼睛都应该拿下红州MO 和IN的两个参议员席位， 可是Todd Akin'的"
legitimate rape"言论，竞选印第安那联邦参议员Richard Mourdock的妇女因强奸致孕

它来自于共和党参议员todd akin的科学论断：强奸是不可能导致怀孕的！
它来自于共和党参议员Richard Mourdock的宗教信仰：你被强奸怀孕，是上帝的旨意！
它来自于共和党参议员paul ryan的人文关怀：你被强奸怀孕，一定要把孩子生下来！
它来自于极右的大合唱：强奸犯有要求这个孩子生下来的权利！
你们知道极右是怎么看全民健保的吗？他们管它叫Obamney care.
极右总是说obama割裂美国，搞class warfare。到底是谁？把美国分成两段，一段是47
%，永远是社会的寄生虫，不值得他老人家的关注？
极右们竭力反对同性恋，原因只有一条，就是他们手中的bible。但极右们竭力反对交
哪怕一点点税，忘记了他们手中的bible说：“富人进天国，比骆驼穿针眼还难。”
极右们反对政府投资科技，教育。他们要把钱花在刀刃上：政府税收只能用在战争上！
