英国 Will Durant 写的名著《世界文明史》的第一卷《Our oriental heritage 》。
从名字看就是明显的西方中心。写于上世纪初期，其中对中国的描写还不错。我发现，
从16世纪到20世纪初期，凡是对东方有一点了解的，基本都是对中国观感不错。
但是在50年代以后，也就是中共上台，西方历史著作对中国人整体的评价急转直下了。

1. 首先，我对佛教没了解。
因为佛祖没有留下书面文字，
不光如此，连同年代的烙印弟子
敌人学者都没有留下书面文字, 没有
任何佐证，peer review。 所以
佛教所有的早期经典都是口述。 口传最大
的问题就是死无对证，夸大，遗漏，故意
非故意误传谬传。 有1/10是真的，已经很了不起了。
道家道教都是源于道德经。 而道德经
也是老子（本身是史学大牛），根据周朝几百年
积累的皇家传书，甚至集商朝几百年的
历史经验之大成。当时还有很多同时代
的学者分布着周朝首都和各个诸侯国，
所以道德经是经过Peer review的。

earthquake. It is whether you want to avoid the alikes in the future instead
of covering it and just "looking forward".
Thirdly, it doesn't take a "big" issue to trigger a BIG issue. China is at a
critical point now, anything can be big. That's why they are so sensitive.
