trad的时候放开其实很好
没钱买那么多runner哎
还有几十feet的1cm的climbing webbing,自己寄个water knot做一个single sling长度

六点半起床，七点在Cabane门外的平台上看朝霞笼罩下的群山；
预报说下午天气将开始变坏，不知道下一次有机会看日出会是什么时候了。美国三人组
本来打算今天休整一天的，因为天气转坏，也决定一起走了；Steve早饭的时候跟我说
之前已经出发的一队guided tour，那个向导说远的那条alpine trek关了，所以他们决
定改走近的那条。我问Cabane里那个SAC的人为什么关了，答曰可能有落石的风险。落
石的那段路在开始的地方，从屋外的平台上就可以看到，并不长，几十米的样子。我遥
望了一下，觉得问题不大，坡上大部分地方都有植被覆盖，又没什么风。我问路本身还
是能通过的吗，答曰of course。决定还是按原计划走，不过其他人都不愿意走这条路
，所以还是没有伴，呵呵。

发帖数: 379 | 4 非典型West ridge。星期一的时候Guillaume找人周末去Forbidden，等到周中查天气，
星期五和星期天都不行，只有星期六是mostly sunny，于是决定星期五下班以后出发，
晚上能走多远算多远，星期六爬完回家。一起去的还有Guillaume的两个朋友，跟我们
去base camp一日游。为了加快rap的速度，带了两根60米double的绳子，因为不太清楚
路况是什么样的，除了攀岩的rack，还带了picket和ice screw，事后证明基本都属白
背。因为包已经挺重了，我决定不背帐篷了，带一个新买的bivy，其实就是个sleeping
bag cover了，顺便测试一下。星期五下午5点，给ranger station打电话，说还有空
余的permit，加之他们六点就关门了，觉得我们能拿到的机会还是挺大的。五点二十从
bothell出发，高速上堵的一塌糊涂，等我们开到marblemount，都快8点了。Ranger
station门口的纸上有已经满员的营地的名字，boston basin倒是整个周末都有空位，

我在这里看到从来连harness都没有穿过，冰川也没有见过，或者只是跑了2个马拉松的
人要在这里找人去爬Rainier。 如果大家觉得去参加Mazama或者Mountaineers这样的非
盈利的登山组织没有时间，没有条件，为了启蒙去上高质量的商业课是很好的做法。上
了课之后，对爬山有多苦，有什么危险，该有多少投入至少有点基本的概念，如果还觉
得爬雪山好玩，再上这里来找人一起爬，至少比一点概念都没有就上来问要靠谱很多。
对于诸如parker9这样愿意带新人出去leader也有基本的安全保障。
我想指出的是 Yamnuska这样的登山商业公司，减价给 Alpine Club of Canada的成 员
提供培训，我当年就是参加他们的ACC Basic Alpine Club的课程，他们还给ACC的
trip leader提供干部培训课，还常年给英国的陆军提供野外训练课程。他们虽说是商
业营作，但是他们开的那些培训课程是培养以把你成为climbing leader为目的,而不是

7月2号晚10点到西雅图朋友家,吃晚饭,装BACKPACK,把带的装备和衣服,食物都装好
,发现太重了,但又怕冷,怕饿.就决定还是全背上.
目标CAMP SCHURMAN, EMMONS/WINTHROP
3号8点到PARK OFFICE, 发现CLIMBING PERMITS忘到朋友家了. 折腾近2小时,从PARK的
系统里查出了我4月买好的PERMITS. 10点开始爬,朋友陪我走了3迈的TRAIL.
就开始自己SOLO了.
往GLACIER BASIN这段路很难走,河边很窄的土路上有小碎石,很滑,然后就是大石子
路,这时候换上了登山靴,好很多,但背着大包,保持平衡还是会很费劲.

The condition was good. I was told that it was icy by all of the skiers.
i was snowboarding, and my board is long/wide and i am heavy, i crush all of

put climb skins under the skis. This guarantees you to climb up to 30-35
degree slope on skis.
The other mode is downhill mode, in which you lock your heels, like alpine
downhill ski. You can get down a mountain like a alpine skier.
However, I think the one you saw in ski resorts is telemark, which you can

很便宜，可以考虑（见ningjia的贴,有人用costco kirkwood cash card买，更便宜）
。就是太不方便，滑一天，开一个小时住在S. Tahoe? Northstar和Heavenly倒是方便
，就是雪场不怎么样。Alpine/Homewood combined season pass也不便宜，跟squaw差
不多，但是他们的family season pass(四口人）比较便宜。
要不你买Kirkwood unlimited 二百多块，加上Heavenly restricted 三百多块。加起
来，比Squaw或者Alpine还便宜呢。

I think at this time, Heavenly, Northstar and even Kirkwood are better than

，但是滑到一定程度你就体会不太出来了。telemark你就能体会到两只腿都要相当独立
的“平衡”性。再加上脚后跟不固定，不dominant的那一边拐弯的时候后面那只腿总是
很古怪的角度。摔的时候也很怪，呵呵。
不过我承认学了一阵子telemark以后，alpine就不太好玩了。而且backcountry才能滑
到真正的野雪嘛！ |

这两周最大的收获是：可以流畅的连起来short turn啦！一开始我以为short turn就是
左一下skid右一下skid，练了一阵很郁闷，如果中间不小跳一下很难平稳又快的连起来
，后来发现如果像carving一样左右交替移动重心，一下子感觉流畅了很多！高手请指
点一下，我的感觉对否？
然后就雄心勃勃的去黑道了，才发现原来黑道这么陡，后退两米就看不到道了，心里一
窃动作都变形了，最主要的是身体不敢前倾，更可恶的是昨天这个小雪场的黑道中间做
的全是蘑菇，再加上脚底下黄澄澄的冰，摔的我斯里哗啦的。。。我是对黑道有心理阴
影了，其实雪好的话我是能在黑道上carve的。。。
对了还有一点发现，在绿岛或者蓝岛上carve的时候我发现主要是下山的脚在着力，但
是到了更陡的道上我发现上山的雪橇也很重要，刚开始的时候因为我上山的雪橇角度没
有准备好很狼狈。

发帖数: 3431 | 45 是的，我觉得这是一个本质的区别。现代Alpine滑法，carving的实质，讲的是利用ski
的sidecut去转弯，用的力道仅仅是把ski压弯，with minimal steering。因为是靠ski
edge的弧线滑，所以前提就是constant snow contact。竞技蘑菇滑法，靠heavy knee
steering，而且器材上也是传统的直ski，没有太多sidecut的。
看了这些内容，我上周末练习的时候，就注意去体会各种不同程度的steering的感觉，
从minimal steering的圆滑carved turn过渡到wiperblade风格的快速窄turn。练下来
，主动体会了两种滑法的区别，就觉得没有前阵子那么迷茫了。
另外一个很大的区别就是stance/position。bumper讲的是tall stacked position，
drive torso upwards and forwards. Alpine讲的是crouched althlete position, 往
侧前方drive hip来set edge angle |

本文将就巴黎和柏林旅游的衣食住行消费购物分段讨论.内容为本人初次欧游的一些心

1.前期准备
机票,签证经历:见纽约法国领事馆申根签证经验2006版
从巴黎到柏林的机票订于www.easyjet.com 虽然不是最便宜的机票网站,但是考虑到一
切都要提前准备,所以就我们就没有冒风险去等机票的deal. 这个网站虽然deal很少,但
是越早预订,价钱就越便宜.
主要旅行装备:lowe alpine hyperlite 60L+10L backpack(男用),lowe alpine 45L
backpack (女用), Crumpler 4 million 摄影包,内装canon 400D, 17-40mm镜头+遮光
罩, 50mm镜头,充电电源. 轻便背包一个, eagle creek 安全钱包两个(挂脖子上的那种)
其他重要装备:电源转换插头(购于radio shack, 16刀多,买贵了 |

今天的目的地是Arches National Park，又是奔波的一天。从Alpine出发US89旁边出现
了Bear Lake，我们一向是喜欢各种各样湖泊的人，这个湖的颜色仿佛是一块碧玉，湖
中各种船只穿梭来往，不由得再次感叹老美真会享受啊，这片净土还能够他们糟蹋一段
时间。
有机会的话我们也想在这个地方多待两天划划船钓钓鱼。中午的时候我们到达Salt
Lake City，在这里最普遍的Smith超市补充了水和粮食:)下午继续赶路，US6穿过一片
森林之后呈现在我们眼前的就变成了戈壁，还好远处群山的漂亮曲线和天空中漂亮的云
朵一直陪伴着我们，我们也憧憬着傍晚到达Arches时的景象。
终于我们在傍晚时分赶到了Arches，这是一天当中光线最美的时间，我们自然不会放过
，把火红的石头和碧蓝的天空留在了相机里。

太阳就要下山，我们在在落日之前赶到更著名的Delicated Arche，一段不短的Trail，

但是你说1000到3000米，根据中国登协的意思，这些不算登山，只算散步，所以也不好
说。
当然中国4000米以上的山峰远远多于美国，但是都集中在西部比较偏僻的地方，所以能
够爬的人很少，不像在美国比如加州人民要想爬个4000米的山安排一个周末就行。除了
这个客观原因之外，人为创造的条件在中国也比较差。
比方说号称成都第一高峰的苗基岭，虽然海拔5000多米，但是因为树线比较高，地貌和
美国4000多米的山峰差不多，技术上也不是非常困难。如果换了在美国的话就是一个非
常popular的地方。但是事实上是这个山峰极少有人去爬，主要因为接近太困难。虽然
离大城市不是特别远，但是附近就是没有公路，要去爬这个山的话只能expedition
style，组织一个登山队，花若干天时间，雇人雇马，普通群众想alpine style上去是
没戏的。美国也有很多人烟稀少的山区，很多山峰离居民点的距离比前面说的苗基岭远
多了，但是还真没听说哪个地方不能alpine style去的。当然，这个也反映了另外一个
