I cannot remember what trials I skied at Alta. My rule is - no double-
diamond in ski trips (because I've visited ER too many times).
Oh I remember one ... it's called something like "Sugar Bowl"?? |

Besides Utah snow is known as dry, while Colorado is more wet.
Cant see a point why wet snow is much better.
The black diamonds on the top of both mountains are super dry and deep
powders. The trails on lower mountain is not
as good as the ones on top. |

I don't know if Alta is higher than Snowbird. I thought that they share the
same boundary between Mt Baldy and Mineral Basin, so I assume that they are
of about the same altitude.
Yes, it's known as "champagne powder". Again, it's my personal opinion ...
Wasatch Range is too close to a big lake, so cloudy day + wet snow is common
- like Tahoe area. CO is not the case, it's far from big lake or ocean.

三个人，其中一位是每年都独自来alta滑一些天的陌生人

发帖数: 3311 | 16 We got up at 11:15am straight shot to Snowbird. Less than 1hour coming down
got home around 5pm.
The powder was better than yesterday, somewhat white out, not too windy but
cold, man ~10F.
I'm take friends to Alta tomorrow, anybody?!

function. I will get out to ski on Sat and Sun.
I booked at downtown Hilton . You may also book there through the hilton
website: 4 star hotel with spa and in door pool, $109+tax per night +1 lift
ticket per day to alta, snowbird etc. I think it is a deal, considering
mostly discounted lift tickets is $60+.
But it is only for single occupancy, if I put two person per room, the price

Can't believe all upper mountain fresh powder (except hiked one maybe) were
completely tracked out in less than two hours.

发帖数: 17993 | 23 今天是Alta这个雪季的最后一天，在接近缆车关的时候，滑雪的人们聚集到山顶派对。
我在最后一趟缆车，4点半时也去赶热闹了，爬到山顶，还hike了一小段。很多人在山
顶不走，后来我下来了看到停车场还满满的。

上山的路两边的叶子红的黄的绿的浅绿的嫩绿鹅黄绿的，和白雪相间着，西下的阳光落
在秋叶上，白雪上。。。。。。
当我在Snowbird和Alta待着的时候，太阳下去了，挂在山顶本来看着是鱼肚白的月亮，
跟夜明珠似的渐渐地生出了光亮。
不晓得今年十月底滑雪场会不会开。 |

住旅馆的话，或许会有点什么优惠。
alta唯一的省钱项目是一条缆车线下午三点后免费（好像还包括租雪板？），新手和不
想花钱滑雪人的天堂。 |

(or die trying - their 'trail map' is more or less worthless) :)
Brighton probably has the most beginner friendly runs - Solitude is very
nice as well. Then on the 3rd day - go enjoy Alta! |
