Rossignal SAS 140Ti bindings at REI.com; got them mounted and took them to
skiing at Alta today. Man, is it float like a carrier on new powder but
crushes light crust like a tank. I had a lot of fun with it and enjoyed the
powder with an Alta ski instructor, whom I know for 20 years and lives just
few miles apart but never skied together.
I was never a gear head or rarely participated in gear discussions but I

上周的一场大雪，干粉雪倾盆地倒到山上，三月了，这个雪季，犹他的雪才刚开始接近
高峰期。我想着周六一大早一定要去赶第一趟缆车。
周五一早出门，地上，树梢少有地挂满了白雪。一查雪况汇报，Alta和snowbird都下了
16英寸以上，park city下了据说是22英寸。周五中午时抬头看看窗外的雪山，放佛看
得见别人从Powder里钻出来。。。
周六有事，没去Alta，改去Park City看看去，它的两位邻居The Canyons和Deer
Valley我都去过了。
到了Park City，只看见山上的雪道，到处都是房子，却看不见很明显的卖缆车票的和
缆车在哪，犹如进了一大片购物区，纷繁陈杂，一点不像远离嚣尘的滑雪场。看到有人
在路边拿着滑雪板等bus，边上的停车场已经停满了。我开过去看看，转了一圈，看见
一位大叔，我指了指山上，问缆车是不是在那边。大叔说就是在那些房子后面。我再问
在哪里停车好，大叔很哲学地回答：你能找到空位的地方。我嘿嘿一乐，谢过，往一个
坡上开去，转来转去，在雪山下一排排紧挨着的房子面前找到了一个空位。

if you care skiing(interesting terrain and quality powder) and has a low
budget like jeamouse&me, go alta-bird and stay in motels in salt lake city. if you
care night life, go park city. it won't hurt to sample each of them if you
are not sure what you are looking for.
i kept going back alta/snowbird and never get disappointed but only visited
park city once on my 1st trip to slc for it's olympic name. i haven't been
to deer valley or canyon yet. maybe i sh |

Visited Alta and Snowbird and liked their terrain. Also noticed that the
lift line can be pretty long and powder can be tracked out very soon(like in
the mineral basin) on a holiday weekend.
I get the 2010-2011 ski utah guide and it looks snowbasin and powder
mountain are not small and could be nice. How is the skier density and lift
line there in a powder day? Anybody tried powerder mountain's cat skiing?

孩的课，轮流看更小的孩子。兴旺啊，现在只剩一半人家还在坚持了。
花费小，起点低，老师很耐心，一般说来，总有更差的，心理压力也小。本地居民还没
开始滑雪的，不妨试一试，特此向新朋友推荐。
话说刚开始滑时，全身肌肉紧张，每次两个点，全身都湿透了。后想想，这也不失为减
肥的良方。

complete white-out day on the top and windy I may add( yeah, as if Alta was
much better).
How bad you asked? All the chairs on top were marked “Expert Only” – for
whatever it’s worth. Not only the catwalks to either Road to Provo or
Path to Paradise were closed but good luck in finding them. They were
completely covered with new snow and blended in with the natural slopes.

I left, forecast 5-10" overnight. Let me know if anyone going out there:
peterkz96 at gmail doesn't have to be snowbird, but I think it will get most
snow.
BTW, I am from east coast, and just as most skier from east, I can only
handle groomed trails with ease - icy, steep - doesn't matter, but suck at
powder, those little bumps are killing me, including the tree runs in the
green area at Alta. Very frustrated. |

发帖数: 3290 | 28 去年雪季结束的时候，开始光顾mitbbs，除了cycling版，灌水最多的就是ski版，整个
夏天，除了版主兢兢业业，能常来ski版的寥寥无几，amplifier算是其中的铁杆之一，
他那独特的思维角度，诙谐的表达方式总是能带给我意想不到的乐趣，而且他喜欢写诗
，并能不断地推出各种类型的以滑雪为主题的诗词，有抒情的，有豪迈的，更有风趣和
幽默的，让咱这种缺乏想象力的人也能跨越时空，在炎炎的夏日，依然能延续着上个雪
季的欢乐，憧憬着下个雪季的到来。
此次Utah之行，自然而然地希望能会会咱这ski版的铁杆灌友。Utah之行的第三天，是
个星期六，终于在Snowbird见到了他还有他一直提到的师傅，接下来由他师傅领路，他
自个断后极有耐心地陪着blued和受了点伤的xiaoxiong，让每个人都在Snowbird留下了
一断美好的回忆。那天还有幸与当地的ski版元老xyzok一起滑了一会，可惜的是一行人
只和版主在停车场匆匆合影。
amplifier的师傅滑雪风格稳重而不失优雅，不急不躁地完成每一个turn，让我想起那

发帖数: 17993 | 31 要不说近朱者赤，近墨者黑呢。俺周围的人都被俺拉上滑冰，滑雪的“贼船”了。
今年初在俺的影响下，俺一位朋友把她五岁的女儿送去学花样滑冰，俺以前一位老师的女儿也是因为我拜访了一次，也把女儿送去学滑冰了，告诉我说她家的小朋友很喜欢。有一天聊天，俺朋友的女儿甚至说她以后要当个Skater！我们都笑。我朋友的先生说要当医生。我说把滑冰当成你的快乐就好。我的朋友把她的女儿送去滑冰了，想了想自个也跟着穿上冰鞋去学习滑一滑，不错，我赶紧把我的护膝和一副旧的护腕给了她。而这位小朋友的一位小朋友的母亲跟我聊天，决定除了滑冰，还要把小孩送去学滑雪。
不过严格来说不是我拉着别人去的，他们都自己主动要求的。
平时，我和我滑冰的“小忘年交”安娜聊天，说说各自好玩的事，我也跟她说我周末去滑雪了，有好大的powder，还给她看照片。安娜说她的妈妈怕她受伤，所以不放心她和她的弟弟去滑雪。我也从来不提让她跟我去滑雪。
结果今天一早，滑完了冰以后，安娜兴奋地跟我说她周末堆了一个比她还高的雪人，给我描述她怎么堆的，还把自个的围巾围到雪人的脖子上，然后很开心地跟我说，她的妈妈同意了给她一个私人教练的滑雪课当作她的生日礼物，说她... 阅读全帖 |

取消非诚勿扰的节目,决定搞成聚众滑雪.
时间：2012年的马丁路德节周末,也就是1月14,15,16日 (周六,周日,周一).
到达时间为13号，周五。离开是16号下午或者晚上。
住宿是周五晚，周六，和周日三个晚上。
如果自己有时间周五提前到的，可以凭当天机票去Park City免费滑雪，不
过这个由个人自己安排。
地点：地点不变，在犹他州的盐湖城市，机场代号是SLC。

发帖数: 17993 | 34 这个周末没有新年派对，没有聚会，也没有聚众，没有激荡回肠的欢呼嬉闹，也没有任
何情绪低落或者失落，只有一个人平静的周末。
星期五晚听音乐太晚了，周六早上一早看看周末没有新鲜powder，睡了一个懒觉，醒来
了打开手机放Somewhere in Time，躺在床上想入非非，思维纵横上下两千年。。。。
。。我认为，一天应该有36小时，每天足足地睡够9个小时，另外工作10个小时，吃饭2
个小时，。。。想入非非天马行空1个小时。
九点过才起床。一个星期缺的觉，都留着周末来补了。早餐加午餐后，瞟了几眼网上八
卦新闻，没有电视，只有电脑，我都好久没在住的地方看电视了。不久的将来的一天，
计算机将全是电脑，电视，信息库，工具书，，社交娱乐，和部分购物一体的中心。我
练了一阵琴，滑雪去。
上山的路清理得很干净。我一路放着Somewhere in Time，我打算听到100遍。John
Barry的经典不少。Out of Africa同样感人至深，我也很是着迷。不过Out of Africa
相比更加悠扬，平和，宏大，而这首Somewhere in Time却还有一种细腻而扣人心弦的

发帖数: 3032 | 35 Deer Valley, Park City, Cannon 不在SLC，这3个都在Park City. 你既然在Deer
Valley 住7天，那还是以这3个为主，然后抽2天去SLC，一天滑ALTA，一天滑SNOWBIRD.
看你什么时候到SLC，如果早上到的话那就可以凭当天的Boarding Pass去滑Alta 或
Snowbird. 或者最后一天回机场的白天滑这两个。不过从Park City到SLC也就一个多小
时，高速很方便，所以你中间几天去SLC滑也没关系。还有一个SNOW BASIN其实也很好
，但远了一点。
PARK CITY小镇不错，很Fancy. 每年有个SUNDANCE的电影节，小镇上餐馆挺多的，没注
意有没有中餐馆。SLC有很多中餐馆。 |

发帖数: 43 | 43 我们有6，7个人下午大部分时间在滑supreme lift上的雪道。不过雪场太大，估计碰到
的机会也很小了。
我们25号也滑Alta了，Alta的雪真是好啊，同样的降雪量，雪质比snowbird和jackson
hole都要好，是没有snowborder的原因吗（snowborder不要拍砖啊）.
Utah每年Xmas的雪都有这么好吗？还是只是今年比较好？希望以后有机会能一睹版主风
