alumna” (female singular) and “alumnae” (female plural); but the latter
two are now popular only among older female graduates, with the first two
terms becoming unisex. However, it is still important to distinguish between
one alumnus and a stadium full of alumni. Never say, “I am an alumni” if
you don’t want to cast discredit on your school. Many avoid the whole
problem by resorting to the informal abbreviation “alum.”

开展，清华校友会在商讨之后决定将本次校友活动变更为海滩烧烤聚餐，具体信息如下：
聚会日期/时间：2014年3月15日（周六），上午11点至下午3点。
聚会地点：La Jolla Shores, 8200 Camino Del Oro, San Diego, CA, 92037，草地上
适合飞碟足球等娱乐活动，也可到海边活动。
活动安排：11点左右在聚餐地点集合。中午会为大家准备烧烤，零食和饮料，在享受海
景的同时会再组织运动和桌游等，3点左右返程。大家可以带其它活动用品，例如，排
球，飞碟，扑克，三国杀等。

洛杉矶地区没有最好的私立高中，只有最合适的私立高中。四所最严格私立高中是
Flintridge Prep, Pasadena Poly, Webb 和 Harvard-Westlake. 有些人可能会说最严
格的就是最好的，但对于大部分学生来说这种说法不对。对于大部分学生来说这种严格
的学校压力过大，每晚五小时的家庭作业 (脑子好使的), 加上周末，从九年级开始就
用大学程度课本。再加上2到3小时的体育训练或者演奏练习，加上社团，公共服务，和
课外活动。在申请大学的时候，大学不会因为你上一所非常难的私立学校，而对你网开
一面，反而在这里更难拿到好成绩。
最好从你所居住的周围开始咨询，因为你不会想要每天开很远的路程。就算是比较不那
么难的学校每晚也有3到4小时的家庭作业。有些学校有非常强的运动计划或者艺术计划
，所以选什么学校完全看你需要什么。不要太看中升学率，因为那主要取决与学生而不
是学校。
很多洛杉矶的天主教学校也收一部分非天主教的学生。天主教学校的费用通常只有私立

i like to high toss serve in tennis too, like Sarapova, one time one 4.0 guy,
an alumnae from east coast, stopped by foster city right after he flew to
SFO,

renting a bike to me.
That was Oct 05, i was about 1950 level.
He told me his peak level was at Tsinghua trial, i would guess about
2400, he got about 460 or 480 in college entrance exam, after
entering, he had huge amount of pressure in study, he spent
almost all of his time in classrooms as his roommate told me
(i visited his dormitory, he was not there, so i chatted with
his roommates)
