1. Almost all the lenders are no prepay penalty but with 4-6 months no
payoff/refinance restriction.
2. No prepay penalty means you can always pay more principle as original

pay $4000, it is OK since all the extra $1000 will go to your principle.

特别坚持，refi的loan amount都是按照目前的principal就近取整。像256K这么整的数
，通常就差不多取来当新的loan amount了。
由于pay off的时候现有的loan也会按天算当天的利息，所有payoff balance会比
principal balance要高，有些时候为了减少在closing时 out of pocket的钱，会把新
loan 的loan amount提高个1000到2000刀。 |

实在不解，我每月都是按时还款的啊……
查了Equifax报告，发现有几个帐号的"the highest amount charged"比较高，
占credit limit的比例比较大。这可能跟我的用卡习惯有关系：我一般在一个时间段内
会集中用一张卡，导致该卡balance暂时很高。还清之后，过一段时间再集中用另一张
卡。
这就导致我很多卡的highest amount charged在该卡集中使用期间都很高。
虽然都是在不同时间达到峰值，并且很快还清，但竟也成了罪状？
今后是不是应该改改习惯，怀揣4-5张卡均摊用才对？
另外，对照银行statement，发现这些"highest amount charged"都是半年前的数值了。
Equifax是不是要把这些暂时的峰值记录到我老死？
kao，我Experian和TransUnion的信用报告都漂漂亮亮，没这么算的…… |

right away.因为我没有任何其他pre-tax contribution 的 IRA account, 这个
conversion应该是 non-taxable distribution。
可是今天收到的1099-R上却显示整个conversion amount是taxable amount.打电话问
broker,他们说所有的distribution都是这样显示的，报税的时候我要自己填表证明这
个Tradition IRA contribution 是after tax，然后convert 到Roth IRA 的
distribution是non-taxable event.
请问大家有类似情况，收到的Roth IRA 都是这样显示的吗？
另外，在convert过程中生成了两分钱的利息也一起convert到了 Roth IRA一并显示在
总distribution amount里，难道我还要报这两分钱的税？还是可以不管不报这两分钱？

1. If you work, check whether your company has match policy for donation. If
so, we can double it.
2. Use your real name or unique ID, it is easy to check.
3. Do not donate rounding amount. Try sth like 168.95. I already saw two
Zhang with $100 each. How about there are actually three Zhang with $100
each. We lost one.I do believe ppl on mit. However it not harm to 先小人，后
君子。Your first name + some no-rounding amount is almost unique, it is easy
to track.

payment, escow payment). my statement for Jan payment and Dec payment is
1206 and 1207. So I expect the Feb is 1205.
For my load the daily interest is about 40. Now comes the weird part for the
closing date of refi payoff amount. If the close date is 1/30, and the
interest added on is 1148; if 1/31, then 1188; but if 2/1, then 1205 (same
as I expected). So why the increase is only about 17 from 1/31 to 2/1, not
40???

I searched on my company's website and did find it. Most big companies
should have such a policy.
You can try to contact HR or Payroll Dept in your company or ask your co-
worker. If you find one, I would suggest you to read policy carefully before
make donation. Some company, like my company, the amount was matched while
I made donation. For other company, you need send receipt to get match. Also
check eligible list of your company.
