，依据apartment ratings的评价，找了几个地点和价格可以接受的。不知philly版上的
朋友又没有熟悉下面列出的apartments？ 能否给点意见先？ 谢谢。主要想了解安全性
，management怎么样？ 安静否？ 住在那里的大都是什么年纪/国家的人？ 对中国人是
否friendly? 不好意思，比较罗嗦。
如果有别的apartments你比较喜欢的话，请推荐。
1）korman communities: ARK by korman - blue bell
townhouse style, 这个价格偏高些，不过相比下条件貌似不错，喜欢他的floorplan 以
及室内有W/D.
2）Madison at Hunt Club - Lower Gwynedd (North Whales)
townhouse style, 1br 价格1040/1140 (价格也不低)。 条件和1类似

网上rating很高
2. Madison at Exton Crossing (Exton, PA)
rating 也不错
3.Oxford gateway， （West Chester）
这个都不错，就是两个人开车都有点绕，因为我们都要开202，一个往北，一个往南
4. Thomas Meeting (Exton, PA)
5. Jefferson at Westtown apartments (West Chester, PA)
这个我们开车路最顺了，房子的照片看上去也很喜欢。但是看网上rating好像不太好，
主要是材料比较cheap，不隔音
6. Windsor at Windermere Place (West Chester)
这个就是作为backup列一下。

你是compact car，不然肯定非常挤。La Scala靠Nobel，临街的单元估计比较吵。La
Regencia，房间很宽敞，就是整个楼里有一股洗衣粉的味道，电梯和楼道都显得很旧，
有点国内小县城招待所的感觉。不知道楼主有没有考虑过private owner出租的房子，
比如说La Scala旁边的Venetian apartment。以前也是apartment complex，前些年改
成private condo了，条件看着要比上述apartment complex好很多，停车位很宽敞。我
同事有租里面的2b2b townhouse condo，1600多一个月。不过这个得看运气，每个房东
的要价都不一样。 |

时候，由于楼上apartment的水管突然破裂了造成我们楼下的天花板突然漏水，我们离
开通知了管理处然后住在hotel里，之前apartment管理处的完全不赔偿和我们要搬离的
话还要给它们30days notice还算我们break the lease。 昨天给他们正式的信件要求
他们赔偿和搬离，今天管理处给我一封30天搬离的通知，说我们break lease（没有保
持房子干净以及其他的原因，等等，总之违反了所有的规定），要30天后搬走。
现在看来一定要找律师了，有什么好的这方面的律师推荐？
最后说下：这就是最差的 Lajolla terrace apartment, 在UTC Doyle park东边.

错.
交了deposit后抬头才发现窗上写了prop65的条款，上面写了this area contains
chemicals known to the state of california to cause cancer and birth defects
or other reproductive harm.
请问大侠们这个是san jose 每个apartment都有这个warning吗？如果打算生孩子，这
个apt还能住吗？ sunnyvale 的apartment 有没有这个warning呀？看别的apartment时
都没注意，今天才注意的。

到一个office guy签名，这些我都可以在ups.com上看到整个流程。
但是我去apartment office拿包裹的时候，office guy说找不到包裹了，我给他看了
ups.com上的签名，他说名字是他的，但是他也忘了那天是不是他签收的。他说等明后
天ups driver再来的时候，他要问driver当时是不是没有给他包裹。
我打电话给ups，ups说需要lenovo来要求package trace，我打电话给lenovo，lenovo
说ups上显示已经deliver了，让我再去apartment office找。
我现在不知道该怎么办，大家给出个主意？这个lenovo laptop是花了900大洋买的啊。 |

发帖数: 291 | 23 SF市里上班，两人不打算近期要小孩，也就是七八年内都不要考虑学区问题，在考虑：
1.买市里或者bart线上的apartment， 毕竟便宜点，灵活度大， 未来应对变化的能力
也强。 就是到时候小孩要上学了就得考虑换（我的想法是到时候出租这个apartment）
。 经济上的话我听说apartment和townhouse会要交不少管理税费？
2. 买Bart线上的house，这属于打算一步到位了，一定就挑好学区了。因为有两个家里
支持，downpayment不是问题，就是现在这房子动不动就是一两个m，后面肯定就锁住了
，压力也不会小。 还用就是我听说house的地产税和保险不低？ 不知道和apartment
比那个经济上更合适。
刚刚开始考虑这个问题，大家有什么建议没？ 麻烦指出一下两个选择我没考虑到的优

Shorewood Dr, Mercer Island, WA 98040
2b2b with a den， 有洗衣机和烘干机。面积~1200 sq ft. 每个月$1900。
这个房子适合在Seattle, Bellevue或Issaquah上班有娃家庭
- Apartment complex很大, 有两个play area, 草皮覆盖比大多数Seattle area的apt
都好. 天气好时可以散步, 带着小孩走一走
- 开车到附近的Luther Burbank Park不到5分钟, 步行20分钟左右. Park有个很大的
play area. 还有个小的游泳区域, 夏天开放
- 有亲戚朋友来, Den可以当一个小卧室. Apt有两个bathroom. 住的人多会方便一些 (
这里很多2 bedroom的Apt都只有一个bathroom)
- 到Seattle downtown一个人也可以走car pool lane.

听说德州的车价税率比较路易斯安娜的低且质量好（New Orleans的路实在很坑爹）。
想听听大家的意见。个人想从dealer或owner处入手一辆二手VW New Beetle, 年份为
2007以后的车 。有以下问题：
1.有没有推荐的华人师傅能做车况检查。
2.哪一片区的car dealer比较集中，价格比较合理。
租房：
安全第一，根据环境,价格接受范围在500到850 plus utilities. 房型2B2B或者多人合
租，卧室最好不要在一楼。比较亲睐的区域是Rice 和UT,喜欢学校附近的氛围。当然，
只要到downtown车程15分钟内的安全区域都可以。希望apartment的质量好，因为没有
时间去烦恼琐碎事情。我会自备家俱，所以可以是unfurnished apartment. 如果你已

发帖数: 791 | 41 之前宿管因为一件事情来我们apartment，结果发现我们apartment卫生不是很好，然后
就每周都来一次我们apartment检查卫生。上周我们打扫了，这周他们来检查卫生的时
候我们apartment所有人都不在。他们觉得我们的厨房比之前的状况好了很多，但是他
们却擅自打开我们的微波炉，烤箱和冰箱来内部的卫生。
结果以前和朋友在我们宿舍喝剩的红酒在冰箱中被他们看见了，说我们直接违反了Code
of Student Behavior. 要和我们所有的人都有一个appointment 来讨论这件事情，并
且hold住了我们的student account。
我想请教一下大家，
1. 这种情况我们坚决不能承认我们喝酒吧？我们想说是之前的室友（已经回国了）留
下来的，这样的搪塞有说服力么？
2. 整个building就我们的宿舍被反复的查，每周都查(他们只对已经发现的卫生不整的
反复的查，其余的宿舍就算卫生状况比我们差得多，但是也不查)，我觉得对我们很不
公平。
3. 在我们不在场的时候，他们也用备用的钥匙擅自进入我们的宿舍，并且打开我们的

Homeland Gardens Apartments有人听说过吗？网上搜不到评价，有人住过或者听朋友说过吗？
505 West University Parkway也是一样。
只有租房公司的网站，其他地方搜不到评价。
另外老帖里面的公寓也还在考虑中，知道的朋友有空的话回个帖或者站内短我，不甚感
激！

楼的洗衣房。然后给我们了一把那个楼的钥匙。
到现在快半年了，我们的洗衣房也没修。每次洗衣服来回来去走上百米，而且另一个楼
的钥匙因为不总用今晚也不知道哪去了，我真是怒了。
跟apartment公司扯皮估计很难有用，因为办事的估计都是小officer。找他们公司估计
也是扯皮。为这点小事花时间也不知道能不能解决。
该怎么办？ |

This is an expensive luxury apartment, excellent location. It's a 2 bedroom
with a
huge living room facing lake and skyscrapers. We want to find another
flatmate or
short-stay guests because we are short of budget recently and our amazing

is too underused. We are kind of guilty about our over-luxury choice while
