过或者现在就在barcap工作的
面试不是跟HR,是直接跟组里的两个人
会有什么样的问题,是否以technical问题为主,还是有很多brain teaser
这个职位在barcap一般都做些什么:编程多还是modeling多
做strategy的是不是比做pricing的用数学少一点.自己不是phd,比较担心做不了解方程
这样的工作

verification. 基本上其他卡也碰到过，然后打电话，验证个人信息不行，要去任何一
家银行做一次cash advance,说他们会decline这个transaction,然后那个银行应该打电
话给他们verify我是否是本人。
好吗，去了well fargo,well fargo说这个不是本行的卡，不能cash advance,然后去了
reginons,他们也说不是本行的卡不能cash advance,然后我和well fargo, regions解
释为什么要做这个事情，其实我是不要钱的，就是让这个transaction被decline了以后
你们好打个电话证明一下，人家说不是本行客户，没有这个义务，当场打电话给
barclay客服，客服说没有办法，只能换银行试试。
然后去了chase,好歹我是chase客户，做了一次cash advance, decline了，chase
teller说decline就没有办法做了，问chase teller能都打电话给barclay, chase说没

就是有一个Barclay Card 的，大概有2000，因为从checking account 还的时候几张信
用卡一起还，没有发现有还重复的，也没有发现checking account 里面钱是不够还这
么多卡的。
所以就出现了这个Barclay Card 的2000从我的checking account扣不到钱。然后我也
确定Barclay Card 的statement是paid的，但是扣不到钱的。后来checking account
补了钱了，也没有发现Barclay Card 重新扣我的钱去还。这个月都有重新登录几次去
查Barclay Card 看看有没有显示我的这2000balance的。都没有，新的statement也没
有看到这2000的欠款。
我该怎么办？不管它可以不？

无工作有SSN两年，（LD的卡也都是我申的，LD对搞信用卡没兴趣）
最长历史的卡是2012年11月拿到的LD的Discover副卡（$250 bonus）
去年1月拿到FIA副卡，2月AMEX BCP副卡（$250 bonus），4月Chase UA副卡（55000
miles），11月Chase Freedom副卡（$200 bonus）
去年11月跳Discover it 开卡$150的deal被拒，说信用历史太短，打了2个recon电话都
不行，一怒之下申了个capital one journey，给了$3000 CL，自我安慰好歹有个1.25%
的卡，可以去亚超买菜的时候用（我们这里亚超不收AMEX）
上个月给LD申了citi dividend，AA 100k，和Sallie Mae，打算BCP这个月降级成无年
费的，一想接下来这两个月买菜SM的250不够，即使有old blue cash也不敢一开始刷太
狠冲6500，
就决定我也去申一张SM，既然pull一次，就把他家的Upromise mastercard也一起申了

背景：有Barclay red aviator卡。同行三大人，一小孩（<2岁）。
刚开始在AA.COM定了单程award ticket，加上AAdvantage #，用的CSR付fee（三个$5.6
），票出来之后每个人第一个baggage要交$25，第二个要交$35。可以每人有一个free
carry on。打电话问AA怎么回事，说要用Barclay Red Aviator付fee才能有free
baggage（不是很sure这样是否可行）。本来觉得这样也就算了，后来发现其他事情严
重冲突，决定打电话给AA取消机票（24小时之内）要求refund fee和re-deposit miles
，刚开始客服还说要redeposit fee（第一张$150，然后每张$25），跟argue这是24小
时之内后他无话可说就给退了。
然后就在Chase CSR UR travel center里面用点数定了三个大人的往返机票，也加上
AAdvantage #，然后再打电话给AA要求加上婴儿票。过了一晚出票后，打电话确认了婴

说是川菜风味，其实那个农家小炒黄牛肉的风格更像湘菜，鲜，辣，爽利。
和老板聊了下果然是老乡。因为刚从国内腐败回来不久所以还可以比较，老实说那个啤酒鱼和长沙主流餐馆的档次差不了太多。
老板平姐是个厚道人，言谈间说最近还引进了湖南米粉 --- 听到后内流满面，这是在国外多少年梦萦魂绕都吃不到的东东啊，可惜这次去没做好功课一开始没点，只能下次补上了。

trade valuation (but the model is written by the quant, IT just uses
the quant library). 工作兴趣觉得一般， 而且离家最远， 还要commute. 觉得就
是这个
title最吸引人。 觉得如果我以后回国or 考law school的话， AVP title比较有用
一个UBS, authorized officer title, 离家近， 做java, CDS eletronic trading,

Yes it's just US Air and yes it's Barclays. But for those of us frozen out
by Citi AA and maxed at Chase and AmEx, Barclays is another company to get a
relationship with. Also for some of us (like DCA) US is the primary carrier

US Air now has an waived-fee Dividend Miles card. That's extremely unusual
for Barclays. The initial bonus after 1st use is 35K miles. Each anniversary

媒体报道了。了解IBD的都知道这是个P大的事，无非就是个无伤大雅的玩笑。但也反映

后门电话能直接接通到credit analysts/Credit Departments / Account Managers /
Account Specialists，这些人能reconsider and decide大家的信用卡申请，信用额度
增加，利率高低等并且立马实行。但是后门电话也不是万能的 不能不顾自己的credit
见好卡就申 不过就打后门电话 还是要硬件条件做好了才是正道，最近就有几个ua被拒
reconsider成功 但是全部chase卡全部被关的情况
如果大家发现有的电话号码换了 打不通了 或者发现有新增号码 请pm我 我改进 增减
，希望这贴能帮到大家
一些注意事项： Capital one 的电话不能用来打去提高信用额度了（2010） 感谢一下

另外有一张 us airways by Barclay, 后来去年想申请第二张，结果Barlay 出了个

Background: I did not apply for any credit card in 2012 due to refinance and
applied 9 cards in Jan 13, now it's time for another round of churn.
My thought process:
1) All banks except barclay (citi, amex, us bank, chase, Boa) pull experian
in my state. My strategy is to force them to pull other bureas using
freezing technique so that the credit impact is minimum.

2) Each get Barclay Arrival 40K bonus miles (first year free, points post
after $1K spent) card;

发帖数: 35 | 43 新同学刚到美国申cc这种事不像高考，不是多少分多少个月多少deposit就一定拿什么
什么卡的。所以写出来自己的案例供大家参考，算是初到mitbbs学到很多东西的回赠吧。
基本情况：博士，有那么点博士都差不多的工资。中西部的州，尼玛城里没有citi没有
chase也没有boa。四大银行只有个wells fargo可这家银行真的有信用卡给我申么。。
。城里倒是有usbank，我的direct deposit是他家的。去年10月1号拿到SSN卡（说明我
爱国么。。。），但是之前因为信箱没贴名字耽误了小一个月,这一个月内我打电话知
道了自己的SSN号码但是没有SSN卡,我不知道我真正拿到SSN的时间该算一个月前还是一
个月后。希望懂情况的童鞋给解答一下？
下面言归正传。按照10月1号拿SSN算的话到今天8个半月，拿到7张卡：discover, citi
dividend, amex bcp, chase freedom, boa better banlance, 还有两张废卡barclay
rewards和usbank platinum card。下面按时间顺序写一下经过（有经过的话）。

查找barclay，搜到barclay bank Delaware
查找sallie mae，搜到sallie mae
发卡方是barclay
而账单上显示的Sallie mae Card Services, P.O. Box 13337, Philadelphia, PA
到底在bluebird里面选哪个做payee?谢谢！ |

只是个人经验，因为我自己cl最高的两张卡都是Barclay的，YMMV |

arrival用的，现在NFL彻底没有价值了，我记得我就刷了几块钱2年前为了400块搞的
US我就刷了几块钱，我真对不起Barclay，今天还打电话给我免掉了年费，还要送我10K
miles，转成AA的话，CITI AA就不值得保留了，我准备keep barclay的AA，反正
benifit都一样。每年付年费还能给10K。 |

的，只好到cs找小二充），充完后准备拿来bill play我那张sallie mae信用卡。
添加Payee的时候搜索框输入sallie mae 出来 SALLIE MAE BANK，但是我查了登录信用
卡账户的网页是barclaycard，于是输入barclay 出来BARCLAYS BANK DELAWARE，究竟
该bill pay哪个bank呢？ 感觉应该是BARCLAYS BANK DELAWARE |
