小的战役了，就连中国有4亿人口的时候，湘军鼎盛时期也不超过12万，不要想当然觉
的就中国的战争规模大。罗马帝国最鼎盛时期统治着超过1亿人民，不知道这也算是过
家家？

马内部的事务，又要对付在西班牙的以Pompey长子为核心，重新聚集起来的Pompey党人
，没功夫管理北非事务。我已经提到过，Caesar把Numidia变成了一个行省，成为新阿
非利加（Africa Nova），以前的阿非利加行省就被成为老阿非利加Africa Vetus（和

朝鲜战争中有中美战史上光荣的一页，那就是长津湖战役。当时，美军分东西两线向中
国边境挺进。其中东线为由ALMOND将军指挥的第十集团军(X CORPS)。其攻击目标是中
朝边境的长津湖区域。该地又称长津水库，是一个将长津江截流形成的人工湖泊，上有
水电站若干。 美军前锋已到鸭绿江边，对着对岸，向江中小便（注一）。
X CORPS司令ALMOND给其师长们的指令是：“Don't let a bunch of Chinese
laundrymen stop you." 在美国排华法案下，美国华人从事的主要职业就是开洗衣店。
而且开洗衣店还被美国当地政府制定歧视性条款加以限制。旧金山市政条例就规定，洗
衣店不能开在木头房子里，结果有华人不服，继续在木房子里开洗衣店，被逮捕入狱。

师（Etruscan的希腊化程度也不浅呢）。在战争开始前他就常常带着学生到城外活动，
战争开始后也继续这样。但这位教师起了坏念头，他把自己的学生带出城交给了罗马人
，并希望得到奖赏。然而，Camillus并没有利用这些少年当作人质，相反，他狠狠地骂
了一顿这位教师，然后把他捆起来交给这些少年，然放他们回城了。Falerii人因为
Camillus的义举深受感动，于是向罗马人投降，最终双方签署了和平协议：Falerii赔
偿罗马当年的军费，这样等于免除了罗马人的战争税；罗马人撤军。当然，从另一个角
度，这也可以解读为Falerii早就不想打下去了，但希望有一个比较有利的时机投降，
毕竟Falerii人不会愿意落到Veii的下场。这个突发事件恰巧及时给了Falerii统治者一
个台阶。当然，Camillus的言行也是促使Falerii投降的重要原因，因为这样一个人做

应该简述一下在Battle of Mons Algidus和Battle of Corbione之间发生的一个对罗马
社会有深远影响的变革，那就是十人委员会（Decemviri）的成立和十二铜表法（Lex
Duodecim Tabularum，英文常见的译法是Law of the Twelve Tables）的制订。十二铜
表法的意义我就不再多嘴了，这里只叙述一下前后的过程。
前面讲述的Battle of Mons Algidus 发生在458BC。罗马的内斗与外战并未因此而结
束。此战一结束，平民保民官们就立法问题继续和贵族进行斗争。而Volsci和Aequi人
也没闲着，Aequi趁夜偷袭罗马的一处在Corbio的堡垒得手。罗马被迫再次出兵Algidus

而背后被罗马人忽视的原因就是Gaul（高卢人）对意大利北部的入侵。我们已经知道，

Battle of Philippine were fought respectively.
The atomic bomb flight took off from island of Tinian, which was under US
control after battle of Saipan.
Result of battle of Philippine would have no effect at all on the atomic
bombing of Japan. |

The new front will be the major battle, current battle will become a
