根据tony la russa的“左右搭配，干活不累”原则，
在4号位上安排了一个左打，
就是qiaqia的偶像，当年pittsburg的强棒dave parker，
曾荣获NL的MVP，年近40，到As发挥余热。
不过当时AL和NL的差异挺大的，
一个球员转会到另一个league通常都有长长的适应期，
所以parker到As第一年的数字不是很好看，
他能打上cleanup的位置，还是沾他左手的光，
当然，他以前playoff的经验也是la russa所倚重的。
面对三大slugger，belcher有些手软，
flyout了parker,但是bash brothers都四球保送上垒了。
两人出局，三个垒上全有人，
belcher第一局就面临着被打爆的危险。
这时他的对手是另一个rookie,
As的捕手terry steinback。
Terry也是这一代As的中流砥柱，
攻守兼备型的catcher，long ball火力尤其另人称道，
88年不但首次当选为all-star,还在all-star game上捧得MVP归。

除了主场优势意外，绿帽子出场的SP是赛扬级别的ace Dave Stewart，
而道奇出场的是rookie Belcher，此人第一场首发出场只投了2局，
就被Canseco的大满贯往家跑打下场了。
另外A's由于休息时间过长，WS刚开始的时候棒子过冷，
数场比赛下来，棒子开始复苏，渐入佳境。
果然，比赛开始以后，绿帽子的棒子们全面开花，
每局都有hit，都有人上垒，但可惜的是，
关键时刻没有关键hit，Belcher给打的摇摇欲坠，但就是不倒。
而另一条战线上，Stewart虽然状态不错，
但道奇打手采用小球战术，缩短swing，
不要求打出extra basehit,只要求make contact，
果然一个个groundball都能找到洞洞成为安答，
道奇的跑垒非常aggresive也非常成功，
一个single就能把一垒的runner送到三垒，
然后靠地滚球得分。
零敲碎打，加上绿帽子的防守失误，得分不少。

lansford中了belcher的奸计，
变速球挥棒没有打正部位，地滚球出局。
接下来dave henderson 1st pitch swing，
打出了88年world series的第一个安打。
3，4，5号位是强棒，
自然是As闻名遐尔的bash brothers担纲。
bash brothers中论天赋jose canseco没的说，
就好象自咪咪说的那样，
拉丁裔球员的棒球天赋确实没的说，
特别是眼手的配合，根本不是后天练的出来的。
88年是canseco最风光的一年，
常规赛不但当选了AL的MVP，
还成为了MLB历史上第一个同一赛季打出40个HR，40个SB的球员，
当时是40/40俱乐部的唯一成员，后来bonds和Arod也加入了。
相比之下macgwire的资质要差些，
他胜在有足够的爆发力，挥棒的幅度很小，
short swing可以有更多的时间判断来球，
所以他的walk也多，同时很少被strikeout。
不过short swing的副作用是对背部肌肉损伤大，
所以他一直受背伤困扰，直到后来开始服用over the counter drug。 |
