知道这完全取决于这个专业在Provost眼里的重要程度。首先退出去的位子不是自动留
给系里，是先回Provost手里。如果是热门系，学校重点发展，位子自然会回来，有时
还多回来一个。反之要是你们系是Provost要donwsize的系，那对不起，这个坑就转去
重点发展的系了。所以每次我们系有人退休，系主任都很紧张，之前半年就展开攻势游
说Provost这个职位的重要性，无非就是能拿funding，能扩展生源。所以这个baby
boomer 退休对教师职位的影响，不能一概而论：For some, it's full of
opportunity; for others, full of disappointment。

Also, as far as I know, WWI ended in 1945. 2009 - 1945 = 64.
I would not call people aged 45 to 54 boomers. Also, these guys are far from
the retirement age. What are they worrying about? |

As of 2008, those aged 65-74 were spending 12% less than folks in the same

看了以后我的第一感觉就是又旧又有味道房子在市场上放上两年也卖不出去。因为房主
没钱卖出去前没钱更新。房子还得要跌啊。
