努力的结果。大路太多就会很吵，治安也是个问题。
在toronto的富人区，你会发现一个特点，富人区的路，都避免太多大路，避免有低端
人口的公寓，因为有钱人在一起开会，把这些提议都否决了。比如最有钱人住的bridle

发帖数: 228 | 40 刚来这不久，本想去附近的公园跑跑，看看一般美国人是怎么逛公园的（排除了
outdoors的那些）。结果，深受震撼！！
先是去了Lake Sammamish北边的Marymoor Park，地图上一看挺大，过去发现还要交停
车费。乖乖缴了之后下车进去，才发现原来是个美国人的遛狗乐园。里面狗比人多，咱
手头也没狗，估计周围老外瞅着我们俩也挺觉得奇怪的。
于是速速离开，直扑Lake Washington东边在kirkland的Bridle Trails State Park，
以为可以有小路走走玩玩，结果GPS一直找不到入口，绕着这块类似原始森林的区域开
了半天，才发现在公园东边有个荒凉的停车场，一共4，5辆车。下车往里走，才发现路
上都是马粪。一路开过来的时候就看到很多马的路牌。里面越走越冷，走了半天啥也没
有。最后天色渐黑，怕迷路就折出来。
真是不甘心，看来大的不好玩，又用GPS找了最近的一个小的。好像叫xx water park，
以为有个喷泉啥的，结果开过去发现上了丘陵，盘山路上到顶就是一片富人的住宅。完
全看不到所谓的公园。

Bridle Trials地区(98005)，砍任何树都要permit，因为那地方是reserved belt。
Bellevue其他地区，砍property line以里的树都不要permit，但是你要留下30%的树。
这个30%的树的计算公式是：
30% * (所有直径在12-inch以上的树的直径的总和)
其实这里有个漏洞，就是你每隔一段时间都按照这个公式砍的话，最后就会砍到只剩一
棵直径12-inch以上的树为止。
俺家的case：
俺家(98004)后院有12棵参天大树，最小直径都大于24-inch，据老邻居说有50年以上历史了。去年俺用这个办法，每隔一段时间就找人砍70%，砍到最后只剩一棵了。city land use
department闻风来俺家看，俺show了一下砍树公司的field record，证明不是一下子全
砍完就没事了。
可省下那一棵，俺也看着它不顺眼，我就去找land use department抱怨，说后院一棵
大树，挡视线挡光，长得太高难以trim。city就同意我砍了它，然后补种30%直径的小

care.以前板上有人推荐过。
在kirkland Bridle Trail 附近。这对老夫妇开了十几年二十年了。自己有好几个子女
，带小孩的经验很丰富，很有耐心。
现在还有自己的小儿子和孙女也在自己的幼儿园里。我们小娃去幼儿园之前是个特别胆
小的小孩，几乎到所有公共场合，或者去
别人家串门都会大哭。试过带去几个幼儿园看看，经常是大哭，弄得我们灰头土脸的出
啦。最后经人推荐，想在这个幼儿园试试，他们
比较灵活，答应可以先试试看。没想到还不错，老师很耐心地哄小孩，帮助她和别的小
朋友熟悉起来。每次小娃去，其他小孩都很高兴
地叫着她的名字。老师还给小娃穿上套泳装，带着她去玩水。我们小孩愿意抱，老师就
经常花时间抱着。小娃很快适应了。后来待时间长
了发现他们的确带小孩很有经验。经常跟他们聊聊能帮助解决不少问题，我们去接小孩
的时候经常请教些问题比如小孩不吃奶怎么办，
身上痒怎么办，生了病怎么办的。算是半个顾问了。到了圣诞节，他们还给每个小朋友
制作了张光盘，有照片和video,看样子小妞

哎~ 我太罗嗦了，发现占楼还占少了，这层还得说说water intrusion的不同程度~
有少数理性的，能够接受。有听说一个朋友的同事，美国人买了房子自个儿先下去安装
了一个sump pump，说是万一哪天crawl space进水都不知道，还不如先做了这个
drainage system，进水就pump 出来了呢~ 可见，本地人和同胞们的概念上很不一样~
有的因为地势和水位的关系，必须的，有的lake Washington 湖边的豪宅，crawl里面
必须有好几个pump把水抽出来，可是依然是豪宅，解决问题就好~也在色迷迷的crawl
spce面积大的房子里看到需要两个pump的~ 曾经在Bridle Trail Kirkland那端，遇到
一个小builder建的新房子就已然安装了这个system和pump, 防患于未然，比较奇怪的
是该builder实际上是本地出生，后来在Florida建房子，Florida垮了回到本地来建房
子的~
曾经见过Buchan的房子汩汩滴水往crawl 里面流啊，那个是我喜欢的rambler，看上去
