I recently regret a lot
how I spoke harsh words to my friends, to strangers,
to someone I think that I will no more contact again but actually he/she is
still living in the same planet
as I do, we are still watching the same sun, the same moon.
So many harsh words... I can not count.... their power gradually accumulates
like a stone stuck in my heart,
So many people I have no chance to send my 'I am sorry'
... I do not have an idea when my already spoken harsh words will stop
hurting them
... I even do not know whether it will keep on hurting them until the day
they die !
In some sense I think we might meet with each other again in a different way
in the next life in a role
we do not know ourselves , and that harsh words might be sent back to me to
hurt me greatly.
That I write here mostly for my own regret :
I also receive harsh words from others some times ,
that really make me heart broken.
Each time I recall them, I see the pain in my heart.
Thanks to praying and meditation, they hurt me less and less.
But not everyone is so lucky as I do, many people will never learn praying
or meditation during
this life time.
Life is hard ! Each time the life is hard, harsh words are more easier to
emerge
from the deep inside of the heart.
It would really better if those people live better and better
that my harsh words would stop hurting them !
I do not believe that Buddha would speak a piece of harsh words
when he does not agree or does not like what others are talking about,
even if they are irritating or they are on the wrong road or even they are
from different religion.
But absolutely I do not have his ability to shut down my mouth.
The Christian has many in common with Buddhism,
but as far as I know,
Christian focus a lot more on
1. love you neighbor
2. love your brothers and sisters (generally referring to all human beings)
3. love the poor/disabled/widow/child
4. love those who hate you because even 'bad' people love those who love
them,
how could you be different from them if you only love those who love you ?
Almost each Christian I know in my life are very very very kind, warm-
hearted, friendly,
always willing to help, and always speak warm words to encourage you
or to comfort you, they seldom speak harsh words.
I feel so good staying with Christian ,
after meeting some very very very kind Christians,
I can not help to start reading the Bible myself, even though I was a
buddhist .
But sadly,
in my knowledge,
many buddhists are a bit like me , too easy to speak harsh words to other
buddhists,
whether it is in a buddhist temple, or meditation center, or buddhist
communities.
Is it because buddha told us not to attach ? that
we buddhists think it better to not love each other ?
Or is it because we care more on animals killing problem,
which obviously Christians have to learn from us that we
do not care how we treat human beings?
Each single piece of word coming out of your mouth or keyboard
has a very very very great power ,
be careful not to use that power in a wrong direction !
Speaking Harsh Words are just Like Sword Thrusts
and
they have much much more greater power than physical sword ,
because the latter one only hurt once,
while the language one will keep hurting someone repeatedly each time ,
he recalls your bad comments on their personality ,
in my experience, it will continue repeating many many times unless they
start
praying/meditation,
so most people would even not be able to stop being hurt at the time of his
death !
Please be kind !

great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! And the tongue is a fire,
a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining
the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire
by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can

sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,

you, and understand: There is nothing outside a person that by going into
him can defile him, but the things that come out of a person are what defile
him.” And when he had entered the house and left the people, his disciples
asked him about the parable. And he said to them, “Then are you also

yoke. My father disciplined you with whips, but I will discipline you with
scorpions.” So the king did not listen to the people, for it was a turn of
affairs brought about by the Lord that he might fulfill his word, which the
Lord spoke by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat. And when
all Israel saw that the king did not listen to them, the people answered the
king, “What portion do we have in David? We have no inheritance in the son
of Jesse. To your tents, O Israel! Look now to your own house, David.” So
Israel went to their tents.

loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure
rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying

Proverbs 16:1-33 ESV / 5 helpful votes
The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from
the Lord. All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord
weighs the spirit. Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be
established. The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked
for the day of trouble. Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination

Gilead struck Ephraim, because they said, “You are fugitives of Ephraim,
you Gileadites, in the midst of Ephraim and Manasseh.” And the Gileadites
captured the fords of the Jordan against the Ephraimites. And when any of
the fugitives of Ephraim said, “Let me go over,” the men of Gilead said to
him, “Are you an Ephraimite?” When he said, “No,” they said to him, “
