讲历史是很沉闷的,先讲一个流传于数学界的笑话:
如果你从一本书里抄,这就叫做抄袭。
如果你从两本书里抄,这就叫做读书报告(book report)。
如果你从三本书里抄,这就叫做论文。
加多一句:犹太人从苏美尔、巴比伦、阿卡德神话那里抄,结果就是《旧约》的《创世
纪》。而现在的这篇文章跟《旧约》里的大洪水故事差不多,都是从多个地方参考抄袭
过来的。
我抄的文章中,有一篇是不叫胡马渡阴山的《大洪水的故事》,读过不叫胡马渡阴山的

一. 思潮的交锋
人类的思潮和理念(idea)是主导历史,决定人类命运的动力。人类的文明史其实
就是人类思潮交锋的历史轨迹。达尔文自然进化论的理念就是一个例子,它的影响不仅
限于生物科学,即使在物理科学、心理学、社会科学、人类价值观,甚至在政治的制度
和潮流上,都是非常深远的。
基督徒思想家,监狱事工创办人寇尔森(Charles Colson)指出:“真的基督信仰
不仅是个人与耶稣基督的关系……它也不仅是相信一组关于上帝的教条。真正的基督信
仰是一套了解,透视所有真实(reality)的思维方式,它是一种世界观。"(注1)换
句话说,基督信仰不只是一个私人灵修,或是感性的、经验层次的投入。它建筑在非常

该校友此次向中国科技大学图书馆捐赠的全新图书包括《大不列颠百科全书》《皇家藏
书》《The Journal of Finance 》《The Review of Financial Studies》共计70余册
。捐赠的书籍中不少较珍贵、极有收藏价值:此前,中国科大图书馆尚未收藏《皇家藏
书》(中国戏剧出版社)。《大不列颠百科全书》(《The New Encyclopaedia
Britannica》)仅有一套。这两种珍贵图书,母校师生进行相关研究与学习将更为方便。
此次图书捐赠通过中国科技大学校友新创基金会进行。中国科技大学图书馆与新创基金
会感谢该校友的慷慨捐赠,并向他赠送中国科大五十周年校庆珍藏邮册一套。
此次图书捐赠是新创基金会成立以来首次收到校友对母校的实物捐赠。新创基金会欢迎
