about sex; they learn too much online and assume all women/girls are like

解。
这位署名Mick Burke的美国年轻人父母都是公立学校老师，母亲在他读高中时因病退休
，家庭收入更低了。他接受了government grants（政府补助）和学生贷款上斯坦福大
学，以下便是他的吐槽：
必须在四年内毕业，超过四年的部分不会有任何financial aid；
每年夏天必须打工挣钱；春假里也得找活干，比如清扫肮脏的宿舍厨房；
必须重复上两次有机化学课，以提高成绩满足financial aid的要求；
必须和女友选一些同样的课程，好借她的书来用；
必须想办法当上宿舍长，得以入居免费宿舍；
不得不开辆破车；
……
他在繁重的学业之外还得肩挑沉重的工作负担，并且还得承受这种心理压力：听同学们
谈论他们如何在暑假里奢侈地避暑消闲，如何在春假里飞到冰岛玩皮划艇，等等有钱人
家子弟的生活方式。
他的勤劳苦干换来毕业时只有一万多美元的负债，算是个不错的结局。

越南本星期正式批准了有11个国家参加的贸易协定《全面与进步跨太平洋伙伴关系协定
》（CPTPP），如果与欧盟的贸易协定随后也得到批准，依赖出口的越南可以无关税进
入占全球GDP45%的多边市场。这是越南加入世界贸易组织（WTO）以来得到的最大经济
助力。
越南国会在河内批准了CPTPP，从1月14日生效。协定为越南制造的产品在加拿大和日本
等主要市场打破了进口关税壁垒。这项伙伴关系协定涵盖了世界经济总量的大约13.5%
，大约为10万亿美元。美国在2017年退出了CPTPP的前身TPP。
其它加入新版TPP的国家正在批准过程中，还有六个国家已经批准，这意味着协定很有
可能得到全面落实。越南还在等待占世界GDP 21.8%的欧洲联盟批准双方在2015年谈判
达成的自由贸易协定。欧盟预计会在今年批准协定。
分析人士说，这两项协议加在一起，将推动越南迅速增长的出口驱动型经济，并加速国
内中产阶级的成长。
他们说，这两项协议还将加大越南对外国投资者的吸引力，这些投资者本来有可能更喜

但四年後，社會依然不平等，人民依然貧窮。那年六月廿五日他們發表「憤怒宣言」（
Le Manifeste des Enrages）。
三個月後，一年的「大恐怖」（La Grande Terreur）降臨。一萬六千人命喪斷頭台，
加上其他方式處決的，共死亡四萬多人。其中工農平民占七十二趴，中產階級（包括革
命同志）十四趴，教士六趴，而貴族只占八趴！
「變調的自由是最殘忍的兇暴」。正如台大教授張文亮所說。

Worcester, Lowell,lynn,lawrence and Springfield. 郊区的基本没有。
我去过Lowell and Lawrence,老城市有历史，但没落了;
Lynn只要开车经过就知道很烂的地方，从人到房子，车子；
Worcester没去，只知道房子很便宜；
Springfield就更远了，哪里有篮球的名人堂，一直想过去，听广播说是本土恐怖分子
的聚集地。

is pretty hard to beat big Mac in this arena. But aged burger is a bad
idea. The meat has a pretty strong beefy flavor from the 40 day dry aging.
Although the burger was cooked at perfectly medium rare, it is still a bit
on the dry side. When served on a toasted bun, the whole thing is out of
balance..
