Capitol Peak，14ers.com的难度排行榜上名列第一，虽然很多人有保留，毕竟是众多
山友投票选出来的，民意基础强大。很多爬过的人都告诉我"it's my favorite", "I
will do it again", "You will love it", etc. 同样的话几乎没有人用在Little
Bear身上。如果说Little Bear是魔教教主的话，Capitol就是少林寺方丈，他强大到一
种程度，已经不屑于暗箭伤人了。 即便是那些已经不怎么爬14ers的高手，提到
Capitol的时候也会来一句：“it’s a classic.”
有意无意把Capitol 留到最后，大概是因为Middlebrook帮主曾说过：“Once you do
Capitol, all the rest won't be as fun.” 从Lake Como回来觉得自己已经准备好了
，经过一个夏天的“南征北战”，无论体力还是心态都相当不错，很想再接再厉，拿下

发帖数: 1371 | 2 发个一周以前的TR吧，比流水帐多加两句话。
Capitol Peak （海拔14,1** ft），据说是科州14er里面较为困难的。我总体的评价是
，没有特别困难的（能上不能下的那种），但是有很长的持续的class 3 + 的攀爬；风
景很不错，山势雄伟险峻；就是approach比较长，也就比最长的snowmass好点点。
第一天开车到TH，一路没啥好说的，就是最后1mi是我到现在为止开过的最烂的路，要
是再烂一点点，恐怕我的小sedan就开不到TH了。在某个地方，FWD不给力，轮胎空转，
只能后退再加速冲上去。所以说capitol creek TH还是最好有四驱的车去。
从停车场，正好能够远远望见capitol山峰，心里还是比较有底的，不像去年snowmass
的approach，8mi走到头才能看得见要爬的山。
然后就沿着放牛的路往山的方向走，果然碰到几头牛，路上当然少不了牛粪马粪。
走到（到capitol lake）一半的地方，要过capitol creek。今年水大，独木桥已然被
淹了，只能找水浅的地方趟过去－－光脚在刺骨的溪水急流里面走啊，这是全程最痛苦

station只有两个block。坐8路公交可以到SLU，坐light train可以一站到downtown或
者UW。生活便利，离吃饭喝酒最多的E Broadway只有两个block，步行可到QFC, 公寓门
口就是Rite Aid.
公寓在一楼，状况良好，且自带一个小院子。两间卧室完全一样大 （都是11'6'' x 10
'）,所以没有主次卧之分。招租的那间卧室有一个落地窗连着院子。 客厅12’6’‘ x
16'6''。公共区域的家具房主自行购置，招租卧室的家具看情况。

monument的队，领到票以后再去capitol hill领票，然后再折回去登高望远。这种方案
现在有可行性不？我知道capitol hill不能代领票，那monument可以代领吗？领票需要
出示什么证件，我自己的话，是不是只要驾照就行了？
另外，那个bureau of engraving and printing，印钞局现在还开吗？我看它的网页也
说要早上8点去领票，不知道这个地方人多不多啊。一般要什么时候去领票才能领到。

这两个地方很纠结
向各位旅行达人请教一下
感恩节飞盐湖城
然后开车去Arches NP和Canyonlands NP玩两天半
住Moab两晚
原本准备之后开车去Capitol Reef NP
但发现周围Grand Junction的Colorado NM更近
所以两者只能取其一
然后直接返回盐湖城
请问我应该去哪个更好呢？
综合到１１月底的天气，两者的位置，精彩程度和其他因素
貌似Grand Junction距离大机场更远，正处盐湖城和丹弗中点，所以是否该趁这次去
Arches NP和Canyonlands NP的机会去那里呢？

发帖数: 124 | 18 从Bryce Canyon到Capitol Reef的Ut-12穿过Grand Staircase-Escalante National
Monument和Dixie National Forest，是著名的景观公路。小车在无休止的上山，下山
和弯道中前行，左右有时是石壁，更多的时候是山谷，色彩多变，景色很好看。间或在
路边有观景台，可以俯瞰广阔的山谷，瞭望公路在山谷中蜿蜒远去。有一小段公路两侧
都是山谷，公路就建在山脊上。走走停停，感觉像逛一个national park。
Ut-12上开了大约两小时，拐上Ut-24，没多远就进入Capitol Reef。这里也是红色岩石
的世界。沿Ut-24前行，两侧不远处时不时出现耸立的红色石墙，下半截埋在乱石堆中
。和Zion，Bryce相比，感觉更加荒凉沧桑。LD总结说就象把Bryce的石柱打碎了放在这
里。在到Visitor Center之前，最著名的两个景点是 Chimney Rock和The Castle。前
者是一面弧形的墙，上面顶着一个烟囱一样的尖尖。后者远远看着真象一个城堡，不过
没有立体感，如同一个剪影。

(or Canyonlands?) -> Grand Canyon -> Bryce Canyon -> Zion -> Vegas。不知道
那两个np怎么选阿。。研究了一下觉得capitol reef的review不是很高，又不知道
canyonlands是不是看起来和grand canyon差不多。请教一下去过的朋友，有没有什么

发帖数: 19468 | 20 都挺好，Bryce Canyon的地貌在日出日落时是相当震撼的，夏天走trail的话要趁早，
看完日出就着就出发，这样在天热起来之前就能结束一条trail
Capitol Reef很多人觉得一般，我个人觉得其实也还可以了，特色没有那么突出，但我
开完它那条观光路觉得也还蛮有意思，不过很多碎石路，轿车走起来有点费劲，骑自行
车应该不错。
Bryce Canyon和Capitol Reef之间是犹他12号路，是一条All American Road，穿行在
Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument和Dixie National Forest之间，一路
上大场景不断变化，犹如看3D大片，我觉得风景不亚于任何National Park。我走过的
All American Road也不少了，至今这条路和科罗拉多的San Juan Skyway是给我印象最
深的两条
Canyonlands很大，有几个相互之间没有公路联通的部分，各具特色。要充分体验这个
NP可能要花些时间。可玩的很多，漂流在美国是很有名气的，有很多5级河段。也可以
