好是用水做负重，下山的时候倒掉。给你个大致的我们的bench mark: 4 miles, 3300
ft, 2小时及格，1:30优秀。不是说你体能达不到就一定不能登，但是你如果能及格就
会有一定的saftey margin。登山不是跑road race，you can't go all out. when
things happen, rescue might not be immediately available, 即使是Rainier，
rescue也经常是days away
技术上，我们一般都很general的教alpine rock & glacier。我们用的教材是freedom
of the hills 8th edition。书的权威性我不做评价，大家见仁见智。我读过的书也不
少。craig connnally的the mountaineering handbook和cosley & houston的alpine

. don't be panaroid about carabiners. I have yet to read one accident caused
by broken carabiners, among thousands of accident reports I have read. Even
those sport climbers who stress their biners like shit don't need to worry
about the biners. We have many other more serious things to worry about.
The only occasion where I would totally trash a biner other than normal wear
is after towing a Hummer with it. |

中国人最早把把火药投入战场
在中国的四大发明中，对人类战争和杀戮的历史影响最大的，不用说，就是火药了。火
药的发明、以及它被用于军事领域，是战争史上最重要的革新：在此之前，无论人们怎
样挖掘武器的形制和战术潜能，总是没有跳出冷兵器这个圈子，而当火药和制造工艺结
合、以枪炮的形态出现之后，人类自远古以来绵延数千年的战争模式就有了彻底的改变
。火药带来的变革的影响一直延续到今天；也许只有核武器的发明，在历史意义上才能
与火药相比。
中国人发明了火药，自然也就最早把火药投入战场。火药武器的出现是在北宋时期，当
在11世纪；这种最古老的火药武器，简单来说就是炸弹，以及借助火药推力把箭发射出
去的“火箭”——其后，一直到13世纪末，在中国战场上占主流的火药武器都是炸弹。
而作为后世枪炮鼻祖的身管火器出现在1132年，是以竹筒为管的粗陋的火炮；《浪客剑
心》漫画里画过一种木炮，是把原木中央掏出个洞来的土制火器，想来当年最早的竹管
火枪大概与之类似吧。

Angels Landing 今年夏天刚走过，其实没有那么难。11岁左右的胆小男孩都在鼓动看
护下，就差最后几十登顶。当时的阵风太大，是主要原因。当然，有恐高症的不能上。
带团的话，小心起见，最后爬铁链那段，不鼓动不敢上，不愿上的。前面的爬爬俯瞰山
谷也是很不错的。再小心些的话，可以用登山装备里的Carabiner, Harness以策安全。

2015年的夏初， 经历了年初的两次失败之后， 终于爬到了Mt Shasta的顶峰， 这是我

车里用的话可以带大一些的Leatherman，
如果只是随身，一个 Carabiner Knife就够了，太高调显眼不是什么好事。
Multi Tool 分几种，差别在刀头的制作，按照用途分电工、handyman和hunting。
选择Multi Tool的时候你需要考虑刀的厚度，（女生用）瑞士军刀里边只推荐
Victorinox Farmer；（男生用）推荐中型Leatherman。

装好后的样子。
可以看到天花板下后钉的小梁。注意这不是2x4，比2x4小一些，我这种木条太多，随便
用一根。以前想作别的用途，漆白了。home depot的是原木色，别找白色的。找不着。
D ring就是用两根Lag Screw钉在小梁下。我暂时只钉了一个D Ring，将来旁边也许还
会加一个。
D Ring下是绳子，截一段绕两圈和铁链一样，而且噪音小。
绳子下是一根大弹簧。这根弹簧的作用是吸能减震。以前我直接钉在天花板梁上的时候
，震动能传到整个房子，买这个有所帮助。
弹簧下面是一枚Carabiner，就是一个环扣。因为弹簧口是封闭圆，吊袋头也是一个封
闭圆，买一个方便安装拆卸。１块钱一个的足够用了。
吊袋在不用时用一把旧椅子托着。吊袋自己用，最多每天一小时，这样这个吊袋就不是
恒载，不会影响结构。
最后是以前用的Hanger，螺纹已经被磨平了。而且这个转向不灵光，转着转着会把螺丝
转松，有一次正打着突然从转向点掉下来，还好没砸到脚。后来我干脆拧紧拧死了。如
果你买这个，建议买一个大弹簧减震。 |

版上基本上都建议放弃基于以下顾虑：1 孕妇极度疲劳对胎儿的影响。2 孕妇自身可能
的疲劳性受伤以及trail本身的危险程度。问过LD的OB，结论是只要不上海拔10000
feet, 问题不大。但要注意不要脱水和及时补充热量。最终，我们决定试试看。针对大
家的顾虑，我们一共背了8大瓶运动饮料(powerade, 总计2加仑)4小瓶矿泉水和１２个
energy bar。在ＲＥＩ买了登山杖，羊毛袜，头灯. 还有climbing用的runner 和
carabiner，用来把自己的手腕和cable clip在一起以增加安全感．
早上6点从trail head出发, 11:30到达cable。经过30分钟的休息和吃过午饭，LD和我
开始向顶峰进发。可惜的是在cable的三分之一的处，LD感觉手臂力量不足，脚下打滑
，我们最终放弃登顶, 遗憾... 2点开始下山，8点回到trail head，历时14小时，完成
half dome trail 缺160m. 虽未能成功登顶，总算见识了著名的half dome cable，也
算圆满。现在想来，觉得LD之所以 |

新手刚开始爬，可以考虑买Black Diamond beginner package, 有deal的时候60多块钱
就可以把除了鞋以外的所有东西买齐，比单独买要便宜。不过我个人不喜欢package里
面的ATC，摩擦力太小。如果在local店里买可以让店员换成摩擦力大的ATC-XP，省力30
%。如果想一步到位为以后室外爬multi-pitch准备，就买ATC-Guide，贵几块钱，可以
从上方belay follower。
有些gym只允许使用gri-gri，有些gym没有这个限制。总的来说新手学belay不建议用
gri-gri，养成依赖以后没法真正学会belay。
Package里的Harness是有型号的。最好到店里去试。腰带double back以后要有>10cm的
剩余，腿带要有>6cm剩余。如果想同一个harness以后用来玩mountaineering，型号就
要稍微选大些，保证穿上冬天的衣服也能穿进harness。 |

4.如果你已经比较advance了，不满足于top rope,需要follow,可能你需要更多的
locking biner，除了3里提到的两个你必须买，至少还要２－４个locking biner, 经
过了不同的尝试，现在我只推荐这款 Black Diamond Quicksilver screwgate (现在出
了quicksilver2):

注意：这个biner很轻，但是也比较＂单薄＂，所以如果anchor受力很大，比如说是
main anchor,一定要把两个double起来用．

以上的我不太赞同，biner看上去“单薄”与否我个人认为和安全性没有关系。基于以
下几个理由：
1，BD，petzl等大厂的biner，在设计上就已经严格考虑过安全性了，除非是厂家特殊

我有2个带钩的，用下来感觉还是应该买不带钩的方便，因为经常是挂在harness上
穿了腿环，腰环操作，里面一堆东西，经常容易挂到绳子 |
