实在看不下去了，一群开着日车的小样如此得瑟。。。。

发帖数: 294 | 2 你说的也许对。但是我有两次不好的经验颠覆了我对修车店的看法。第一次：我的一个
轮胎扎坏了，因为都是新轮胎，所以只换这一个轮胎。Munroe修车店的管理建议我换
catalytic converter,Muffler.估价1200多刀。而且要马上换，不然引擎会坏。我据绝
了。结果出了车店门两分钟，轮胎气压不足的指示灯就亮了。会来看看气压都对。绕车
转几圈也不知道为什么。后来想他说catalytic converter 有问题，随便爬地下前后看
，结果无意间看见那个连着测轮胎转速的盖子挂在那里。仔细看看，是用改锥撬下来的
。这个东西是粘在轮轴上的，不可能自己掉下来。把它粘回去，轮胎压力指示灯就没有亮
了。
第二次还是在Munroe换另一个轮胎（BJ保险的原因）。这次另一个Manager要我换闸。我
说今天要早走，下次吧。接果，等了一个小时，车出来了，让我去取。可是车怎么也打
不起火了。那个manager还装模作样的过来看。他试了一下也没有打起来。实际上是打
起来立马就灭。然后他说肯是供油系统有问题,刚开始进车库前他就觉得打火困难.他可

convertor
但是单独坏了catalytic convertor，而且我那个锈穿的位置只能自费全换了
别的几个local都说要全换，可能车型是sports car比较贵，四位数。

P0430不一定是O2挂了，有可能是exsaust leak，或者最坏就是catalytic converter坏
了。
一般老4缸发动机只有一个catalytic cat和两个O2（少数有两个cat三个O2）。换第二
个O2。
第二个O2一般都在车下面，得把车架起来，注意安全，我一般开ramp上，然后上jack。
找到O2，应该是7/8size的wrenth。有些拧的很紧。得上extension，或者喷点pb。基本
上是力气活。 |

后来车的muffler的管子生锈断开了，声音特别大，去修车铺修的时候顺便看了一下这
个问题。结果从地下看发现是catalytic converter cover也生锈破了而且螺丝固定不
住，所以震动的时候就刺啦刺啦响。他们就把cover拿掉了，现在catalytic converter
没有cover(heat shield)了，这个是不是没有关系，看网上有人说没事，有人说有用。
如果有用，我就再买一个cover让他们安上。多谢 |

自己的08 Mitsubishi Outlander自从2个月前两个一个code之后重病不起，简直是愁死
我了。 一开始就报了一个ignition coil的灯，我网上买了Part，开到华人师傅那里换
好了。开车回家还没到家灯又亮了。 当天堵车，不高兴回去查了，第二天开回去，
code读出来是P0431. 华人师傅说是o2 sensor的问题，说很多人不想立马修的话先将
就着开一下也成。
之后一直忙，我也懒得开到他那里去修，因为距离稍微有点远。就在附近一个美国小店
修了o2 sensor. 不到400块钱。。 修好了之后，开上高速，灯又亮，开回美国小店，
technician 给查完，说catalytic converter有积碳，他帮忙清了说Hope it can last
you a while. 100迈之后灯又亮了。。实在是懒得天天搞，就没管大概一个月，期间
偶尔用用。 直到最近因为summer要去外地做个intern，每天需要上下班通勤，想着车
的问题必须解决，就又开回去让他给看。 目前来说估计catalytic converter必须得换

发现service engine soon 的灯亮了 先去autozone 查的code是0421 开去carx花70刀
检查 说是catalytic converter 坏了 需要换 要价390 换完后 开始灯灭了 但是不到2
周 灯又亮了
又开到他们那里 告诉我上次是0420 这次是0421需要换前面的catalytic converter说
上次是后面的
这次1400刀
我是不是被骗了 怎么找他们？

发帖数: 858 | 26 如果你修车超过$400还没有修好，可以直接找referee去，可以最后开两年。
另外要检查下air filter有没有上紧，这也会影响catalytic converter测试结果。如
果smog没过，会有单子显示是因为smog check的参数没准备好，还是因为废气超标。
另外换了catalytic converter是不可以直接测试的，因为ECU还没有准备好，需要执行
专门的行驶模式，网上有介绍的。另外一般行驶一周几百mile的样子，参数才可以准备
好。
用ODB ii读一下code,也可以看参数有没有准备好。 |

i had a toyota which had both bad catalytic converter and O2 sensors, (the
check engine light is on and very annoying). i had those all replaced. O2
senser cost me 150$ and catalytic converter is still under warranty(8 years).
btw, i also know a place will give you certificate as long as you pay them $
$$, i had all my window tinted (cause the sunshine is so strong in Utah) so
i have to go there every time. |

我amazon上买了个蓝牙的check engine light reader，reset之后，开到各项指数
ready后，engine light已经亮了，但是重试重试，终于有一次，各项指数ready了，
check engine light没亮，赶紧去recheck，过了，一看，依然，各项指数边界线，哈

catalytic converter和intermediate pipe，加上一个tranny下面的gasket，又花了
600多。
结果回来的路上，发现新换的pipe没有拧紧，开到50mile左右，晃悠的厉害，能听到响
声。这样下周还得过去拧紧一下，真是悲剧了。 |

de novo design，他是#1。他的报告让我印象最深的有两点：
1. de novo design - 他有一个protein scafolds的数据库，里面的scafolds都已经通
过实验证明是可以表达，而且与预测结构相符合的。然后分析target reactions的
transition stages，提出可能的catalytic residues和binding residues及其空间分
布，然后就从数据库里调scafolds，找到能够维持催化和底物结合构象的scafolds，一
般有好几十个candidates，然后就是实验验证了（基因合成，蛋白表达和活性测定）。
一般能够得到Kcat/Km=1E4-1E5的artificial catalysts，这就差不多是catalytic
antibodies的水平了，当然离天然酶还挺远（1E8 - 1E12），但可以以此为模板做

博士毕业了，我也离开了化学这一行。我觉得有些事，不是我们这一行的人很难理解，
