I just got Windsor Hour fixed gear bike from BD a few weeks ago. On their
website, it is said to have 1/8" chainring, but my chainring looks thinner
than the 1/8" cog obviously. Is 1/8" chainring the same thickness as 1/8"
cog or they put a wrong chainring (3/32")? Thanks. Sorry, can't input
Chinese from this computer.

FSA的牌子,7075T6 Alloy(best), 买的旧的,原主说只有200迈cyclocross,估计不止
,当时就有掉齿了,肯定很多powershifting,
这chainrings是10速的,齿很薄,现在已经磨的变形了,

Ironman Lake Placid的自行车道会有很多长坡。42齿的chainring对我来说太大了。
所以就在网上买了39齿的,昨天换上了。供各位参考。

固定在chainring上的功率表不好?功率表大厂SRM表示不服...都折腾到换chainring了
,那几个螺丝怎么都要拧,最多是重新calibrate,何况calibration是每次ride都要做
的...
至少到现在,chainring和rear hub(powertap)仍然是功率计最大的两股势力。

that doesn't support what you are saying one way or the other.
on one hand, your chainring is roughly 3mm in thickness. think about how
much offcenter the teeth can be. on the other, the chain sits on top of the
entire chainring, not just the teeth. the position of the teeth is only to
facilitate shifting. it has nothing to do with the position of your chain.
hehe, you simply haven't run into problems like these enough. ritchey cranks
consistently have the lowest q factors among similar cranks.

cassette and regular 53/39T front chainring setup. If you followed the

今天第一次用新车单独骑了30miles,地形是mild rolling hills。发觉和旧车的换档
有很大区别。
旧车是用的compact chainring + 11-28T
新车是用的standard chainring + 11-26T
发现我在平路上,用到big ring时,后面居然要21或23T才不感到吃力。后来干脆用
small ring加11-14T。也许问题的根源是我最近太弱。
爬坡更惨,用到small ring和26T(最小的组合),有一个坡差点没爬上去。
现在有几个选项:
1. 什么也不做,等训练水平上去了,希望问题自然解决。
2. 把cassette换到11-28T
3. 把cassette换到11-32T
大家有什么建议?还有,如果要换cassette,买二手的单个22,25,28T是不是更划算些

上面的,那个可以随便换不同齿数的齿轮,但powertap c1, 就不能换齿轮了,他家faq

4iiii的确是感觉有点山寨...
现在主要在考虑两个option:
1 stages, 699, 只要买一个FSA crankarm就好,自己就能换,继续用
自己的52/38的compact chainring(110BCD)..
2 power2max, 599+36(BB30 adapter), option是可以加99块换成53/39
的classic chainring(130BCD), 这个要换BB,估计得找车行换了..
用adapter不知道会不会影响性能能...
另外garmin vector S现在也有150刀MIR:

理论上讲, cranker 上的 chainring, 可以对应于后面cassette 上的每一个, 但是
cross chain 会加速 磨损,通常是不建议的。
不过, mountain bike 还有 1x 10; 1x 11. 前面的 Chainring 没得选

也知道了100块车跟1000块车的区别..呵呵
难调的主要原因是CHAINRING跟cassette都有BEND..这样导致链条在转动的时候
不是一个平面上..这样在HIGH..LOW END两边总是蹭一边..
最后放弃了21速..当14速调终于调完美了..
剩下一个RING不是上很陡得坡应该用不上.
前天还下单了一双鞋,CLIPLESS PEDAL跟HEART RATE MONITOR..
一共又投资了109刀..
现在的配置是:车+SORA闸+头盔+打气筒+DIADORA鞋+FORTE PEDAL+COMPUTER,
总花费已经快300刀了

narrow down the suspects. is the clicking noise coming out once per rev?
does it happen if you were not sitting on the saddle? does it happen if you
were not on the bike but rotate the crank with the left pedal? the right?
neither? are your chainring bolts tight? are there any cracks on the
chainstay (don't laugh--it happens more than you think)?
use your common sense to isolate the cause, then fix it.

Thank you all for your one cent of wisdom. I just finished overhauling my BB
and Crank. Oh, my god, it is so hard to unscrew the BB. 我使出吃奶的劲也没
能把它拧松。Finally, it came to my mind I could use a hammer. That solves
the problem.
Anyway, it is dirty. But, I could not really find any serious sign of
problem or I don't have the experience to tell. However, I did find a couple
of chainring bolts that are loose this time. Maybe that is the problem as
ferdinandshe suggested. I will test ride it on Monday a

Ride my bike today. It is quiet now on the climb. By 90% chance, the culprit

the ritchey chainset uses shimano spline BB. should be no problem with the

yes, change out both cable and housing in a different bike shop. i don't
know who did it to your cables, but if the last LBS didn't even inform you
of the damage, they are not doing their job.
maybe, although front shifting depends on the chainrings as much as
derailleur. get the cable done first.

原来的Force RD是short cage, 没有32的capacity. 这个我是试过的,无论怎么调B螺丝,那个pully wheel总会碰到32T,所以根本没法用。Apex RD 和Rival RD现在都用midcage的 option, 都可以上32T。12-32的平路会好点吧,小的几个cog之间间隔没那么大。不过我买的时候没看着有。
那个前50后32调不顺的原因似乎是前后derailiuer的夹角问题。在那个状态下,pully wheel离前面的chainring太近了,导致链条与frame之间形成一个很大的夹角,以至链条无法完全套进pully wheel的齿轮里。这个问题其实在前50后28的情况下也有,但是后来放松了B螺丝以后就没问题了。但是前50后32还是不行。我看了下,唯一可以解决的办法是把链条加长一节,但是这样的话前34后11的combo就会有问题。(也许这是为什么你建议12-32的原因?)

cog 比如surly dingle cog

chainring crank和踏板等(和road bike几乎一样)

水平dropout似乎比较难从新式 road bike上搞
全新的fixie似乎也不贵 所以放弃了

26" wheels (road's 700c is 28") so the chainstay is shorter than road bike'

当然还有一种情况是chainring磨损,需要更换了。不过如果才一年,应该不至于。
你下次骑车的时候带一副一次性的橡胶手套,这样车子有什么问题修得时候不会弄脏手。

这三周基本每天一小时,适应恢复,和联系爬坡,12-15迈,一次1500-1800ft,总共差
不多也有30000ft了,感觉没什么提高。平均踏频70,平均心律160-165,grade 5-6%时
cassette用21牙,10%以下用24牙,10以上28牙,前面的chainring都是36牙。
9月分离开加州,想在离开之前去爬一次lick的HC。每天也最多就这一个小时练习。不

如果想清洗链条,拆下来整是最简单的啦。拆下来放在个什么盆里,然后去油上油都简
单,不用担心mess up清理的地方,当然你的要用换一节quicklink,方便拆卸

洗链器这类东西,我也用过,洗了链条还要清洁工具,更麻烦,不建议使用。
每次骑完,我一般用布擦擦链条chainring什么的,如果需要就在布上喷点油搽上去,
300~500拆下来彻底清洗一下,雨天骑后最好清洁一下。
清洁这确实是习惯,俺还是喜欢闪亮的链条,每次骑完擦擦也就几分钟的事,而且30~
50一条的链条俺还是还是挺贵的。

I was at Interbike for the first time this year, and a big trend was crank
arm-based power meters. There were at least three there:
Rotor Power,
Pioneer, and
StagesOne.
The fundamental physics behind each of these three units is the same: to
propel the bike force is transmitted via a mechanical path: pedal body to
pedal spindle to crank arm to (left side only) bottom bracket spindle to
spider to chainring to chain to cassette to free hub body to spokes to rim
