John 17:5
"And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which
I had with thee before the world was."
Problem:

Solution:
Stress is often placed on Jesus' statement that he had glory with the Father
. The J.W.'s in their New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures translate

man could have a share in that. The Scripture has never told us that we shed
our blood with Christ. In His atoning work before God He acted alone; no
other could have a part. But the Lord did not die only to shed... 阅读全帖

chapter 5.3 Resurrection Unto Newness Of Life
"If we have become united with him by the likeness of his death, we
shall be also be the likeness of his resurrection (Rom. 6:5).
Now with resurrection the figure is different because something new is
introduced. I am "baptized into his death", but I do not enter in quite

Chapter 8.1 The Spirit Outpoured
Let us turn first to Acts chapter 2 verses 32 to 36: ”(32) This Jesus did
God raise up, whereof we all are witnesses. (33) Being therefore by the
right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of

In numerous places the Bible declares that upon believing in Christ accordin
g to the gospel we receive eternal life from God as a free gift: " . . . tha

Faced With A Choice
Calvinists object to the assertion that the natural man is "not so totally d
epraved that he can't hear God's voice and come to Christ." They respond, "T
otally depraved is totally depraved. It makes no sense to say man isn't so t
otally depraved." Not only is Total Depravity not a biblical concept, but as
the quote above shows, Calvin himself said that man is not so totally depra
ved that he cannot receive much truth from God; he just doesn't get enough t
ruth because God wi... 阅读全帖

Jimmy Carter served as the 39th president of the United States, founded the

excerpt from J.Scott's "The Message of Acts":
I have myself found it an aid to faithfulness to express the apostles’
message in the following framework:
First, the gospel events, namely the death and resurrection of Jesus. It is
true that Peter referred to Jesus’
life and ministry (22) and went on to his exaltation (33), and elsewhere to
his return as judge. The apostles felt
free to rehearse his whole saving career. Yet they concentrated on the cross
