teacher from Canada. She only taught 7 year Medical Student Class and Ph.D
Class.
I didn't reach the bar and couldn't attend her class. But, I couldn't stop

过去赖赖很小的时候能在蒙事一个人玩沙子玩一小时，老师说他很能集中注意力。
但是他去年的足球队训练和现在的跆拳道训练，他都是最散漫的一个，上次跆拳道训练
一节课他被批评两次，东张西望，有时都不跟着做动作。他做workbook也是这样，时间
都浪费在晃荡上了。
这里教育专家多，怎么才能培养孩子集中精力呢？

昨天小男孩来我家玩, Andy刚读完一本叫"Grandpa Toad's secret"的书, 是和我一起
读的,
中间我帮忙不少. 小男孩自己很顺利就读完了, 我还问人家"What does this book
talk about?" 小男孩立马就绘声绘色地开始review了, 语言组织能力之强, 和美国人
做presentation 一样, 1,2,3, 转折衔接很自然,三言两语就把故事给review完了, 又
生动又简练还突出了重点.
再瞧瞧自家儿子,无论是用中文还是用英文, 都是啃吃啃吃, 里面无数个然后或者and

万里来到我校和学生们团聚。
2013年春，针对学生目前英语口语欠缺这一现状，我校在海外中国教育基金会的牵线搭
桥下，和远在美国的高雷老师和Lily老师结缘。她们利用远程网络课堂，义务为我们学
校学生进行英语口语教学，她们流利的口语、丰富的肢体语言，一下子就吸引了参与远
程学习的的每一位师生。每堂课精彩不断，得到了全校师生的一致好评！通过一年多的
共同学习和交流，这两位老师决定回国，和即将毕业的九年级同学团聚一次，也和在校
正在参与远程口语学习的七八年级学生来一次零距离接触，化虚拟的网络联系为真正的

老师先把上课内容录成视频，学生通过平板电脑看视频预习，上课时再进行难点学习。11月28日，湖南省教育学会初中校长工作研究分会年会暨翻转课堂观摩研讨会在长郡双语实验中学举行，学生人手一台平板电脑的公开课引起了来自全省1000多名老师的好奇与关注。
长郡双语实验中学1401班第一堂是数学课，同学们都熟练地拿出平板电脑，上课前他们已经通过老师的教学视频了解了这堂课的内容。老师的授课更加轻松，老师根据同学课前做题的情况，深度解释了一些易错的难点，再通过网络系统布置新的习题，同学们现场答题也即时传送到了老师电脑上。
长郡双语实验中学办公室主任胡承志介绍，从去年起学校就开始准备进行翻转课堂的实验。今年9月新生入学，学校决定在平行班中选择1401、1402两个班开展翻转课堂。学校召开两个班的家长会，跟家长们解释了翻转课堂，家长都很支持，当天为学生配齐了平板电脑。

calling a “death panel” assignment. The fifteen year olds were told to
decide what six of ten people would be allowed to get life-saving medical
treatment.

Students at PS 106 in Far Rockaway, Queens, have gotten no math or reading
and writing books for the rigorous Common Core curriculum, whistleblowers
say.
The 234 kids get no gym or art classes. Instead, they watch movies every day.
“The kids have seen more movies than Siskel and Ebert,” a source said.
The school nurse has no office equipped with a sink, refrigerator or cot.
