回国的都是混不下去的?? 我告诉你,我在国内是顶级医院手外科医生,精通显微外科和
组织移植，到美国薄厚四年,已有两篇 Top journal （1 IF >20 + 1 =10）发表，靠的
是自己在临
床上的一些思路和见解，整合到科研中去。相反，美国的很多PhD老板，根本就不懂什
么是医学问题，因为他们根本就没有临床经验。实验室文章好很多都是靠美国良好的科
研平台和试剂配送撑起来的，根本没有什么原创的医学idea. 我决定回国，因为我始终
认为，只有在中国，我才能成为Clinician Scientist，在美国接受很好的科研
Training,结合自己在临床上的科研思想，绝对甩开美国大部分PhD 实验室几条街。。。 |

先介绍背景吧
南京大学，英国南安普顿大学 双学士学位 专业是生物医学
GPA： 大一4.53 (5/96) 大二 4.62(1/70+) 大三和大四是在英国上的 没有排名，但
如果换成美国GPA 的话应该是 4.0/4.0 （应该在TOP行列，但具体第几不知道）
GRE 1400+2.5 (GRE 作文是硬伤啊，求大神给个指点， 怎么不被刷掉)
TOEFL/IELTS 因为本科是在英国完成的，所以大部分学校不要求
再来说一说研究经历吧。 大一开始做创新计划，做的是生态方面的，没什么大成果。
主要的研究经历是从大三暑假开始的。在英国南安申请到了 WELLCOME TRUST的summer
student ship （8个星期） 。做的是基本的molecular cloning 表达了个蛋白，用WB
检测了一下
大四在英国是全年的一个大project ， 做了6个月，做的是 cancer immunology 方面
的，一篇毕业论文 （没有评奖，但分数还满意）.

度，取决于受体的“完备性”。
HCV之所以这最近十年药物研发突飞猛进，以至于相当多（如果不是大多数的话）
clinician都将Hepatitis C视为problem solved，就是因为HCV体外复制和感染体系的
建立，以及由此而生的高通量药物筛选。而目前HBV体外感染只能通过原代肝细胞或者
HepaRG细胞系来完成，来源受限成本过高感染效率也比较低（5%-10%），自然无法成为
通用的筛选模型。如果此受体的存在能够将普通肝细胞系如HepG2/Huh7（不能被HBV感
染）甚至非肝源性细胞系转化为HBV易感性细胞系从而取代PHH/HepaRG的话，那么无论
是对HBV基础性研究还是药物研发都有极为重要的意义。在此基础上，其后的HBV感染型
小鼠模型也应该是水到渠成的事情。动物模型对小分子药物研发的价值相对没有细胞模
型那么大，但是对于治疗性疫苗的开发而言有一定的价值，当然，对于HBV相关免疫学

I attended some hepatology seminars and know some clinicians in this field.
To be honest, very few of them can understand the reasons what they are

$$$ if you are in the good specialty fields) once you finish your residence
unless you are the really bad ones. |

educator 可以指instructor, 或是Clinician-Educator track 的assistant
Professor。

是你想象中的“普通PCR”。
至于说话语权，应该说在FDA手里。kit批了，相应的guideline自然就建立了，临床上
应用压根不存在什么人才瓶颈，这些在目前的为数不多的几种靶向药物突变检测的临床
应用中体现的很明显，或者说所有的IVD都差不多，多数时候对于clinician而言都不用
动脑子。 |

around 1.5 million a year for 5 years. It is about 5x the amount of R01 but
usually involve multiple lab and institution. The PI's lab's share is
about a R01 size. The PI also has less flexibility at adjusting efforts.
There are also milestone goal need to be accomplished, or the funding will
stop (I don't know how tightly the enforcement is though). |

MDs, although I am not sure.
If I treat a patient based on a wrong report issued by a PhD, and being a
PhD, this person naturally does not carry medical liability insurance, who's
going to pay the settlement in times of malpractice lawsuit.
That's why I don't think any clinician would want to accept a pathology
report from a PhD. |
