they would consider co-funding, since that I am a Project Leader of a COBRE
that is going to get funded. PO gave me some advice, if co-funding would be
a possibility.
Then last Friday I found out that U01 could not be co-funded through COBRE..

This Monday I sent the PO an email to report this situation, and asked him
when the council would meet. He emailed me the date Tuesday.

要系里老板支持，很容易存活下来... 就是不知道板上为啥没人提COBRE的事... 我觉
得简直是块肥肉... 或者是板上都是大牛，不会来中部穷州... |

Peking Univ. kinda like "Yuanpei experimental class", but it's in
biomedicine or life sciences.
Then according to certain criteria (this is the most difficult), the center
recruits faculties who are interested in taking students and students have
to rotate in this center within various labs.

funding depending on its population and institutions. If you don't do that,
NIH itself will lose support. That's why we have COBRE etc., which compose
of 22 states (44 senators) who you don't want to mess with. Even if you are
academic big bull, you are nobody compare to a senator from Mississippi or
South Carolina. |
