根据近些年的研究结果，光线是不仅是一个重要因素，而且是一个关键因素。
Nature去年有一篇介绍文章：

大意就是看书远近什么的没那么重要，关键是“室外”活动接触明亮光线的时间。不管
是室外运动，野餐还是读书，都防近视。在室内时间，哪怕是运动，都没用。尽管还有
争议，但动物实验也支持光线的理论。
文章后面给出的解释是，明亮光线会刺激视网膜释放多巴胺，后者可以防止眼球拉长。

短期回北京。因为又有人邀请回去工作，自己因为父母的原因也在考虑，所以比以前更
“认真”地考查了一下。时间很多，其实只是管中窥豹。
1)食。一般的居民区超市，食品大约是美国的1/3(主食、低质量水果、饮料)到4/3(高
级水果)，这是我粗略的估计，因为我对美国超市价格其实不太注意。饭馆的花销大概
是美国的1/2。综合来看，吃上的花销应该是美国的1/2左右。
2)衣。很便宜的有，大概是美国的1/3到1/2。但是如果想看不上去不老土，最好买跟美
国价格仿佛的衣物。如果去酒吧之类的地方，还是最好买点品牌的潮货，那个价格就没
谱了。综合来看，对我而言，衣服的花销应该是和美国差不多。
3)行。北京的公交车跟以前比不算很挤，但是还是不舒服，冬冷夏闷。地铁不错，就是
线路少，但是在修。出租车非常便宜，但是一旦有点雨、上下班高峰，也就是你想打车

It seems his cancer is curable. So make sure talk with his boss first.
This will avoid a LOT of problems later. Once you told his boss, he will

Our company HR also suggested me to cancel a business trip to Canada this

colleagues' finding 总觉得不能突出自己的contribution，显得太弱了。 但如果厚
着脸皮写 Dr.XXX's finding, 又担心推荐人不给签字，尤其是自己的老板或是曾经的
老板。非常的纠结，不知该如何是好。信都写好了好久，都不敢发给他们， 怕不给签

现在有个问题是如何证明3年research experience。
我在现在单位才2年。有以下几个想法。
1. 原来公司的employment verification letter, 但是我原来的manager说HR不准他们
出这种信件，只能去一个什么网站上打印work employment的history。但是那个打印的
history里面是没有work duties的description的，只有从什么时间到什么时间在那里
工作，那应该不管用吧？
2. 请问这种信件一定要是原来公司manager签字才行吗？ 可以是原来的colleague签字
吗？ 如果原来公司的colleague也离职去了新的公司，依然可以签这种信吗？如果签的
话，可以不用公司的letterhead吗？
3. 读博士期间的TA/RA经历算吗？ 应该要什么证明？有什么标准？ 以及谁来签字？

I have arranged for myself and one of my female colleagues to go to a
friend's wedding ceremony and dinner tomorrow (Thursday 26/04/2009).
