教簡體字,「完全不是從實際出發,而是出於一種陰暗的心理。」我當場嚇一跳,然後
得啖笑。首先,我反對教簡化字,正是從實際出發:懂繁體者只要依據上下文,自能辨
讀簡化字,根本沒必要刻意學,浪費寶貴的課堂時間。我從未學過簡化字,小學三年級
時初看大陸版書刊,毫無困難。當然我不否認,很多人是怕文字赤化才紛紛反對,但他
們所以害怕,非出於「陰暗的心理」,而是因為有個「陰暗的特首」。其次,名不正則
言不順,《環球時報》這位三流評論員似乎連「簡體字」和「簡化字」也混淆:前者古
已有之,是未經官方規範的俗字;後者指中共的法定用字,現以2013年頒佈的《通用規
範漢字表》為準。香港人反對的不是簡體字,是簡化字。
