利于找工作的课程。具体情况如下：
系里要求这2周选课，必须要选一门core course，一个是fundamentals of wireless
communication,一个是physics of semiconductor devices.
我以前有semiconductor的背景，所以类似的课程都修过，再修一次有点浪费，而且再
考虑到半导体这块工作现在也不好找，打算选wireless communication,比较偏软一点
，但是貌似大家都说通信这块也死了。
挺发愁的，因为有可能下学期要自己掏学费，所以想尽可能的选择对找工作有帮助的。
我在现在的学校搞的学的都有点偏软，但是还是和wireless communication一点不沾，
可能就matlab code能用到一点。

can work for Qualcomm since they are always looking for systems engineers" is like saying " Oh you are in CS, so you can work for Google since they are always looking for software engineers". We have to keep in mind that Qualcomm is still mainly a chip company, even more so recently after they focused on mobile SoC.

at, some attendings are employed by the university, and they have
obligation to train students and residents. Most of them are clinical
physicians and they have much less research going on, comparing with those
in the university medical centers. I'd say these hospitals are more like
community hospitals. |

自然听不懂，她说是波斯语，她从伊朗来。我才知道伊朗不说阿拉伯语。
我看她不像muslin， 衣着比较non-muslin， 我就问她是不是muslin， 她说不是，她
信仰的那个我也不懂。我说我是中国人，于是我们俩就谈起目前的伊朗政府和中国政府
关系好，她说她是由于伊朗的革命迫害他们家族，逃离了伊朗。她很健谈，说了很多穆
斯林的坏话，说这帮穆斯林是communist muslin。
她的这个communist muslin让我想起来了communist Christian missionary， 一个加
拿大传教士文幼章，他参加了宋美龄和蒋介石在重庆的新生活运动，是这个运动的顾问
，后来被共产主义思想影响，倾向于左翼，得到周恩来的欣赏。他自己所在的差会怀疑
他是共产主义者，后来他自己辞了职，他当时就认为他做的一切，看上去与communism
很像，但那是发自他内心的calling， 也就是神召。
communism这股思潮的影响面还真的很大，跨宗教了。 |

过去的两年多里,面试了大概6所学校.排名从50-180不等,最后一个offer也没拿到.最近
面试了一个南方偏僻小镇的community college, 尽然给offer了,还是tenure-tracked.
我个人感觉是不是进了community college就再也出不来了?工资十二个月,$65K,
teaching load很高,要每星期15contact hours. 那小镇上一好象一个中国人也没有,那
college里也一个外籍faculty也没有.
本人情况,Ph.D.毕业已有六年,有绿卡,文章二十几篇, H-index有12. Industry的机会

master university, liberal arts, 这些teaching load 都比community college要少
