纽约时间11月08日凌晨5点，笔者和其他投票站志愿者就已经到达了位于纽约市皇后区
北法拉盛的圣安德鲁教会学校St. Andrew School的投票站现场，开始做准备工作。
二十个志愿者们都是来自于本社区的居民，有一些经历多次选举的老手，也有一些是第
一次的新手。大家分工合作，张贴指示牌，布置选区接待岗位，摆设填写台，启动扫描
仪，等等。
笔者所在的是一个多元化社区，这里主要是白人，拉丁裔，韩裔和华裔。所以配有一共
八名翻译人员提供三种语言服务，西班牙语，中文和韩文。
