刚刚网上查了一下，原来是把traditional IRA convert成Roth IRA。这个没有income
limit，而且如果你是non-deductible contribution(也就是after-tax money)，
conversion时就不用再第二次交税。反之，如果traditional IRA的contributions是
before-tax money，你在conversion时就需要交税。具体看下面：

变，我还是第一。问题是基本都是我做的工作，譬如重大突破点什么的。如果我不同意
，他们肯定不能为equal contribution，但是这样会把他们得罪了。请问自己单独
first author和first author加上2个共同作者有什么区别？对我会有很大的影响吗？

Employer's match cannot be claimed as your "contribution".
There is income limit for claiming such credit.
Add up all your contributions of IRA (trad and Roth), 401K and Roth 401 in form 8880 and calculate accordingly.
If you were student for 5 or more months in 2009, you cannot claim this credit. The 5 months are counted as calendar months with at least one day you are a student. Does not have to be consecutive 5 months, though. |

出来了。第一次转的时候有gain, Fidelity withhold了tax, 第二次转的时候有loss。
现在1099-R下来以后一点都没有提到taxable gain/loss,请问这些由excess
contribution 产生的gain/loss到底taxable吗 |

$Y is considered as income in 2010
is the $X considered as withhold in 2010 as well?
I don't know the answer become the 1099R won't arrive until next year... |

1) request to withdraw the excessed contribution of your 401(K), (otherwise
there will be penelty? not sure about this part)
2) file 1040X for 2009, since the withdraw changes your W2 income
3) file 1040X for 2010, this is optional depends on whether you itemized
your state tax on 1040 of 2009. If so, it changes the itemization which
leads to changes in state refund for 2009, which leads to changes in your
1040 for 2010.

是取出来算作regular的gain/loss吧，不过如果数额不大的话差不多就好了....

回过头去一看，发现W-2上面Box 12 W是我的HSA contribution。但是W表示的是

。去年没有over contribution, 但用网上的报税软件仍然需要交这部分钱的附加税，另
外取出来的那部分钱还要交20%的税。我的理解是既然这钱已经取出来，就不应该算附加
税了。不知理解对不对？ |

original research和significance impact in the field。要说明Significant
impact in the field，100个citation in Top-notch Journals by all renowned
scientists，或者各种媒体报道包括NBC，CNN一类会比你找几个人写几封推荐信更说明
问题。这个道理很简单。所谓“耳听为虚，眼见为实”，人家谁知道这是不是你招来的
托呢。所以independant推荐人更重要些。道理极其简单。比如，我爹跟你说他女儿我
花容月貌，美丽非常。（BTW，我爹说你们可以相信。笑s）你信么？你八成是不信，最
好也是个将信将疑，对吧。不过，如果路人丁说我很漂亮，沉鱼落雁，那你八成就信了

做个统计数据出来。从而表明你的文章是满足eb1a的national/international acclaim
和 recognized by the expertise in the field，你属于small percentage的那类。

evidence. But judge other's work can be proved relatively easy with all
solid evidence. you have 30 reviews, if they are for good journal, might
worth to try to claim. |
