我07你年年底从一个东部州搬到一个北部州，公司负责全部Relocation费用，包括卖房
子，所有手续通过一个Relocation Company 办理，大部分relocation benefit 是
Gross Up。2007年报税时就出了点问题，公司给我的 W-2上平白无故的多了约$6000，
这笔钱我从没拿过。问了一圈，说是部分Relocation benefit 需付税。因我去年是要
退税，而且确也从Relocation Company 拿过一些临时住宿的钱，故未多在意。但从没
有任何人清楚的告诉我这是什么，我也未受到任何收据。
上周工资条上突然蹦出3万的relocation benefit,而且还在后面注明(Tax)。估计主要
是买房子相关费用。看样子会和去年一样回进入我的W-2,让我付这部分的税。我没有受
到或看到过任何和此相关的收据。
我的理解是在corporate relocation中，公司之所以找relocation company,就是避免
把钱直接给我，免去我税收的问题。现在倒好，我没有收到任何钱，还要付税，因没有
收据，我连MOV |

date，可公司申请报销的过程要很久，最后公司付账单的日期肯定过了due date，我要
付罚款吗？是不是我需要先自己在due date前付掉呢？这样的话公司的钱再付过去就变

必死无疑。碰到猪一样的老板，或者受到harhassement，还得也陪着笑脸，不然就会工
作不保，等等等等。。
感觉很不爽啊！极其不爽呀！尤其是想起来去年我那个种族歧视的老板还毫发无损的逍
遥自在感觉就很不爽！难道就让这些人逍遥自在，然后受到的委屈永远烂在肚子里？。

做成了官，或者做不成，要会玩政治，还要写淡泊的诗言志。
Corporate America 同样是万般皆下品，唯有爬梯(climb the ladder)高。管理track
升级比技术track要容易几十条街。即使一心做技术的也要玩政治，因为好的项目需要
争夺。

１。会对我的今年下半年用１４０延期３年Ｈ１Ｂ有影响吗？
２。我这种情况，需要在本组发生移动的时候做H1B transfer吗？
３。如果在转到property后，我的排期到了，还可以直接提交４８５吗？

发帖数: 41 | 29 正式搬家前可能没机会去新加坡专门看房子，又从没去过新加坡，打算先租一到两个月
furnished place，再慢慢找。上班在shenton way 南段，似乎最近的地铁是Tanjong
Pagar， 不知道这附近有没有合适的corporate housing？
另外如果想commute小于半小时，附近有什么好的社区可以考虑？预算上比较flexible
，只希望地方安全，方便，适合有小小孩的家庭，最好是expat或diplomat比较多的地
方。目前在一些网站上看看，似乎很多是私人owner在放租，要单独签约，不知道跟
property management 公司（象美国的公寓）签约是不是不普遍啊？

them in apartments in Bellevue or even as far as Issaquah. It seems that
downtown Seattle corporate apartments are mostly for singles. Not sure why.
Maybe because the downtown apartments are smaller and more expensive. |
