And I got some mysterious cough since 3 days ago... as along as I open my
mouth, I just cannot stop coughing...speechless now...
I think I am too old for croup and classic antibiotics for atypical
pneumonia did not help :(

比如这次纽约，很多护士calloff说自己病了。这个没问题。但是说我怕染病我不看，
在自己版面说说没事，在其他版面就不太合适。
我前几天在其他版说我们的隔离服太差，如果要我去take ebola病人我会拒绝。但是后
来想想不妥，就删除了。我肯定还是会这么做，但是和别人争论就是另一回事了。
有些事在非公开的版面讨论比较好，有些事，连非公开版面都不适合讨论，只能和自己

被感染之前的 ppe protocol比西非不如还在第一时间内谴责护士protocol breach，草
菅人命的渎职和推卸责任的效率即使与中国官员较量起来也不差到哪里去。但是cdc很
快改过。同时那版几个医生根本对这个病毒的性质本身没什么兴趣，倒是盯着护士们自
我防护说事。也许因为对不顾人性和事实的政治正确非常反感，认为真相和科学比玩政
治有意义得多，我对他们有点不屑。

你在非护士版说话，就要做好挨砖的准备。医生还指望着我们冲锋在前替他们挡病毒，
如果不如他们愿，他们自己就要面临更多的感染机会，他们当然比其他人更激烈的反对
我们。这是屁股决定脑袋。
我在菌版说美国开始面对的时候防护差，很多护士不想干，反而没什么人觉得奇怪，因
为作为非利益相关的人，更可以理解。大家只是批评这种差的防护服。 |

多数情况下，保护自己和照顾病人并不矛盾，只有遇到了极端情况才需要一起反抗。
我们医院改章程以前我的美国同事们就说了，不改章程我们就call in sick，我现在就
告诉你我没有sick，但是我就是不会来，我就说你们call就是了，我绝对不刁难你们，
就是因为我如果无力保护你们，我难道还不让别人自己保护自己吗？直到医院的防护跟
上了，同事们才继续安心工作。
事情是这样的，如果医院有条件保护我们而因为各种原因不提供保护而选择牺牲护士是
不符合伦理道德的，护士只能自己保护自己。医院如果没有条件保护护士，就应该承认
自己没有条件救治这样的病人，积极配合病人转院。我们现在都收到了各自保险所在医
院的信件，告诉大家你如果有可疑接触史并且伴发这些症状，请你来医院看病之前先打
电话，我们会有专人给你指导去专门的医院就诊，请不要自行来门诊或者急诊就诊，否
则有传染其他病人和医护人员的危险——这样的防护是对社会和大众负责任的，也是对
护士的保护。在很多人眼里，这也是拒绝病人了。

不就是一份工作吗？不明不白的送死，那就不值了。

月走了8个人。

Beta Blocker need to be discontinued for her.
Reason not to use beta blocker:
bronchospasm – use is contraindicated in asthmatics and other lung diseases
heart failure (systolic dysfunction)
may mask insulin-induced hypoglycemia and delay recovery time ( more
pronounced with non-specific beta-blockers)
Her HR is OK though.

They did consider incomplete kawasaki once....but she has no other symptoms
besides fever/cough/abdominal pain. Appendix abscess is not likely based on
normal u/s although the visualization is limited. They even did HIV test
which was negative.
No PPD has done yet, and CXR does not support it apparently.
I thought mostly likely viral infection, but persisting high fever really
worrisome. Plus, she frequently wakes up due to spiking fever or bad cough

including aspirin, cough drops, coughing medicine, rubbing alcohol, nasal
sprays, etc).
Today, Dec 31, is the last day to use HSA on over-the-counter medications.
After today, you have to have a prescription to use any HSA on these
medications (though you can still use it on bandages, crutches, etc.
