在校刊上看到最近40年的热门专业变迁（见末尾的附图），近年排名第一的经济专业，
40年前连前五名都没进。40年前排名第一的英语专业，本年度第一次被挤出前五。40年
前排名第二的历史，本年度还在第四名——不容易啊。生物排第三，是不是比国内吃香。
总听说心理学专业难找工作，但也排名第五。这个热门专业排名看来和实用专业排名不
一样。
又去找了找别的学校的热门专业情况。princeton开宗明义说热门专业不等于找工作方
便，不是给你一个固定的职业道路，而是教你各种skill sets，适用于不同职业。然后
列出的前十热门专业是Business Administration and Management/Commerce,
Psychology（又是它），Nursing, Biology, Education, English, Economics（经

上学期直到发病前，偶尔会去。休学回来之后，我向我的therapist提出想找Chinese
speaking的心理医生。
上个星期因为配药的原因，和学校的psychiatrist见了面，觉得MD透析问题的能力更精
辟，可惜他的counseling名额满了。
学校心理室说，如果counseling off campus，那么psychiatrist也得off campus。现
在他们终于找到个 a psychiatrist who also does counseling，乘车大概1个小时左
右。对中国文化比较了解的（I guess ABC? not sure though）。
大家觉得这样的安排值得吗？我的保险要求我co-pay $25 per visit。谢谢！ |

今天遇到一个事情，感触很深。
我一亲戚在招IT的senior，因为我不是搞这行的，开始也没来问我。
今天偶然说起来，我说我认识很不错的兄弟可以推荐给你啊。她大喜
说，太好了，我现在手下2个组，正经一个中国人都没有啊，我是太
想招同胞了。
我这叫一个奇怪啊，说不会吧，你想招中国人还能招不到？这同胞里
学IT的真是一把一把的。
她说是啊，但是我真的就一份简历都没看到啊。
大家知道是他娘的怎么回事吗？
因为她所在的是一个大公司，招人必须通过固定的那么几家大型的staffing
公司来招。而这几家staffing公司的recuiter们，递上来前后几百份简历，
除了10%不到的美国人，全部是印度人，全部！真的就有这么绝，一个中国
人都没有，一个都他娘的没有啊！！！！我们中国人在他们手里的简历，

粗看一遍，感觉挺邪乎的
紧急求助：医生教授未婚夫伙同白女护士们实施家暴骚扰
如果不是出于无奈，也不会在此发帖求助。一直感觉家丑不可外扬，所以在过去的两三
年里再苦再难也只是和远在大洋彼岸的母亲讲讲自己的情况。当身为医生和教授的未婚
夫和他的情人们（其中包括四名护士白女）对我的家暴和伤害愈发严重，不仅影响到
physical health和mental health，甚至在搬离其住所后还不胜其扰，甚至动用学校个
别人员和警察骚扰我在图书馆以及其他public space的正常学习研究。警察无视事实
（教授的许可邮件），不顾及我的全程配合以及耐心解释，对我戴手铐加以逮捕，控告
我未经许可使用Academic and Research Center (ARC)，而后在法庭上撒谎说我当时
没有出示教授的邮件，并在pre-trial中要求我承诺永远离开A市并不得返回作为条件而
撤销trespassing 这样的刑事诉控，甚至在正式庭审中从学校的工作人员到警察甚至
prosecutor共同撒谎，编造出我可能是中国间谍所以才限制我的正常学习研究这样的弥

奥巴马的法案要求social security administration 提供符合某些规定的领取
disability benefit的人的信息给NICS(全国背景调查数据库）。这些人是政府认为由
于没有能力管理自己的经济状况而授权由别人来管理自己的disability check。Trump
政府认为这条侵犯了不仅第二修正案，而且侵犯了第四修正案，所以废除。
还有一点有意思的是，NRA反对奥巴马的此法案（不奇怪），但通常在枪支问题上站在

Point out the bail terms were unduly burdensome and harsh.
And show concern about how individuals of lesser means or
resources would be treated particularly as innocence must
be presumed. Other statements of concern are also proper
but it is not my job to say so for him or Huawei. That's
what Huawei's counsel, PR and executives are paid to do.
In fairness, ZTE's counsel and management are a lot worse.
I just have a higher standard for legal competence, that's
all. |
