今天收到LA County的Summons for Jury Service. 第一次收到这种东西，啥头绪都没
有。看了半天mail也没有特别搞明白。
Mail里面说让5天之内必须注册，然后在service那一周保持随叫随到。现在看来我首先
得先注册一下，然后如果不想去，可以找理由transfer、excuse等。如果不transfer等
，那是否就肯定会被要求去现场？还是不一定？
另外去现场的话，需要提前准备什么东西吗？还是到时候直接去，听完走人即可？听完
后要填写什么材料一类吗？

今天下午刚拿到驾照。以前我蹲的州都有比较好的public transportation system，我
没必要一定要开车，所以一直只有permit, 没有去考过road test. 到了NJ没有车诸事
不便，加上我的司机经常指东打西，驾照就非得快拿到不可了。:)
考完路考，我有一些tips可以和大家分享，希望新来的人少走些弯路，另外也希望能抛
砖引玉，希望大家都来分享在NJ生活的一些小窍门，让NJ版的信息update更快一些。
我是在Princeton的Mercer county DMV考的road test。我在DMV的road test 考点附近
蹲点了一段时间，对整个考试流程和考官做了一些研究。：）
先说knowledge test. Knowledge test 的问题都在6 points id的那本小册子里,但是
考的会很细致,一些你可能会忽略的数字都有可能会被考到,所以去考试之前还是仔细看
看.
如果你有中国的驾照而且年检有效, 就不用去考knowledge test. 也 |

但从来没有看过morris county, 这个版上好像也没人提过。
感觉morris county环境好， 大公司多， 人文素质也高。 这两年裁员比较凶，
人均收入是全新泽西跌得最厉害的。 房价可能也跌了很多。 |

包的，你一张red camera的罚单100刀，camera方要分一半一上，而且这个camera都是
微波联网，线路要花钱租，设备需要专人维护，所以现在的camera大都都是外包，除了
罚单分成外，一台camera一个月还要5-10万的租金。
现在的red camera只有按在机场，shopping mall附近的还能赚钱，但如果camera按在
mall门口会严重影响mall的客流量，往往会引起mall的诉讼（典型的比如chicago的某
mall跟county的诉讼）。
其实条子更想搞speed camera,但speed camera的技术比red camera高多了，speed
camera抓拍需要两部camera同时进行，而且车密度一高就拍不了了，所以speed camera
一般多见乡间小道，I95这种heavy traffic的只有用于监控流量的traffic radar. |

effect on traffic safety. Both 'NJ and Nassau County decided to kill
it because they pissed off a lot of voters.
