evaluation process is so complicated.
I know a lot of people from China (everybody from China should also know
this is true) with their Bachelor's degree in medicine (from China) and
their degrees were evaluated to be equivalent to M.D.s in the US. These
people just take some tests and they became licensed doctors and make much
more money than the engineers. Their test passing rate is in the percentage
of 70s and 80s. |

The total amount of time is the same for undergraduate education anywhere in
the world. so if you gain 180 credits in China while a US person gains 120
credits for a BS degree, your 1 credit is equivalent to 120/180 = 0.67 of US
credit.

We should fight together for this fucking policy.
One simple case is if some guys in a very low level college outside of U.S.
got a bachelor degree with a very low amount of credit, let's say 90. Does
it mean each of his credit is worth 2 times of Americans'? If someone is
very diligent in studying and choose as many as possible courses to get a
bachelor degree. Does it mean his credit depreciate?
I support a lawsuit for those evaluation agencies.

我估计了下,基本过不了.你可以在该网页,不知是7月还是几月的NEWSLETTER找到标准.
也可以查查ABET.我可能是Science and Math一点儿(1.5学分).看运气吧.

credits. They simply multipled credits of math/basic science credits from my
transcripts by 2/3.They don't care how many weeks per semester in China,
they don't care how many classes per 4 or 3-credit class.I'm sure their rule
is that total credits must be around 120(124?) credits for a 4-year program
.It is the USA rule.
no way to get a ABET accredited bachelor degree.

As I mentioned before, even your degree is not equivalent to ABET, you still
get great change to meet State Board requirements. You can claim you have
more classes during your post-bachelor degree, you have professional
publications (paper),...........

我和CPEES的一个中国EVALUATOR(LARRY LI)聊过很久,这是他们的DIRECTOR定的规则,适
用于所有国家,为图方便,一律转换成120学分.你有双学士,辅修,那你肯定不过(除非单
独的学位,有单独的成绩单).他和DIRECTOR提过很多次,没用(至少短期内).我们修的课
的确远比老美本科生多,但人家制定游戏规则,没办法.
因此,EVALUATION还是要做的.再和BOARD联系.我个人觉得FLORIDA和KENTUCKY还是好说,
一两封EMAIL就搞定了.我以前的一个印度哥们,差几十个HUMANITY 学分,FLORIDA也认可
.这点上,我们还要感谢GCD让我们修那么多政治课.所以,做工程出身的BOARD成员,知道
那些是并不重要的,而且其实我们的教育本身早超过要求,只是本规则害的.
挣的钱不多,对我们的要求却多多.没办法,上了贼船了! |

They said my graduate degree in the states can only be counted once:
either 1. to waive the CPEE evaluateion
or 2. to count as two years experience.
I know fellows got around this before.
Does anyone know how?

month experience and got rejected because of the same reason. Ohio used to
have the most friendly policy to the examinees but thing is changed now. If
you are going to use your advance degree to waive CPEE evaluation, you
better wait for full 4 years experience. |

发帖数: 2986 | 47 我本科和硕士都在国内，现在还没有美国的学位，不过我估计以后毕业考试PE等都需要
这方面的认证的，所以现在也就准备一下，请大家给出一些建议。
1. 好像主要的认证机构有NCEES和CPEES两家。我还没有毕业，根本不知道什么地方可
能找到工作，从东、西海岸考虑，哪个认证的适用范围更广阔？如果两个认证机构都认
可，哪个更容易办理？
2. 我在国内本科212个学分（辅修和选修可以另外出成绩单，所以这儿就不包括在内了
），按照他们的规定转换成120个学分，肯定在多数项目上都不够，只是看差多少了。
我也没有打算通过这个认证，但是我希望可以对自己的学分有个大概了解，以后工作的
时候也就知道还差哪几个方向的多少个学分就可以了。我在美国已经有40个学分，不过
多数都是研究生课程，不知道是否可以用在这个认证上。需要我同时邮寄现在美国学校
的成绩单么？还是只能认证本科成绩单，然后根据各个州的要求，可能利用研究生成绩
单补充部分学分。
3. 我选修课程有16个学分，不过都是《书法》，《日语》，《西方经济学》等课程，
要是补充在成绩单上，可以弥补部分social science方面的学分，当然就让数学等差得 |

我的数学在210个学分的压力下差了8个学分
估计没有人比我严重了
