其实和critical thinker相处很轻松，
两个完美的critical thinker之间是吵不起架来的。
人之所以有争论，是因为无论谁都不可能完美地critically think。
完美的critical thinker之间的对话是这样：
A：你错了。
B：你说的对，我错了。
对话结束。
稍微不完美的critical thinker之间的对话是这样的：
A: 你这样不太对吧。你看，理由1，逻辑1，结论1。
B: 我觉得我没错。你看，除了理由1，我还有理由2。
A: 哦，我事先没考虑到理由2，看来我错怪你了。
B: 没关系。
对话结束。
critical thinker和非critical thinker之间的对话是这样的：
A: 你这样不太对吧。你看，理由1，逻辑1，结论1。
B: 你小小年纪跟我谈什么逻辑！你以为你逻辑大师吗？
A: 年纪小跟我要说得有什么关系？

textual criticism主要考证字句，higher criticism考证成书的时间地点和作者。
higher criticism几乎只针对圣经文献，没有提及任何其他非宗教典籍的研究。
textual criticism倒是包括古希腊时期的典籍，感觉不像中国考证学那样主流，那样
有详细完整的理论系统。textual criticism的理论系统只有寥寥几条，而且又都是针
对圣经研究的。也可以扩展到其他典籍，但没有人做过。搞中国考证学的，如果比较一
下西方古籍考证的这些理论和研究方法，应该会很有意思。不知道把中国考证学的方法
介绍给西方是否适用。

要想在科学研究上取得突破和成功，只有时间的付出和刻苦，是不够的。批判性分析（
critical analysis）是必须具备的一种素质。
研究生与本科生最大的区别是：本科生以吸取学习人类积累的知识为主、兼顾科学研究
和技能训练；而博士生的本质是通过科学研究来发掘创造新知识，当前和以往学习的知
识都是为了更好地服务于科学研究。在以学习知识为主的本科生阶段，提出问题固然重
要，但答案往往已经存在，所以问题是否critical没有那么关键。博士生阶段则完全不
同，必须具备critical analysis的能力，否则不可能成为优秀的科学家。这一点，我
称之为方法论的转变。
其实，整个大学和研究生阶段教育的实质就是培养critical analysis的能力，养成能
够进行创新科研的方法论。这里的例子非常多，覆盖的范围也非常广，在此举几个让我
终生难忘的例子。

critical thinking 的 building block 没错。
这么说，如果说 critical thinking 靠的是逻辑，那么计算
机应该是 critical thinking 最强的。恰恰相反，计算机是
critical thinking 能力极其悲催的。
但这世界上的确有一台计算机，有一些类似 critical thinking
的能力 ———— 赢了 Jeopardy! 的 IBM Waston ———— 你要是
去看看 Waston 的算法原理，就知道差别不在于逻辑。
我个人觉得 critical thinking 是高维度并行思考加 pruning
的综合能力。Critical thinking 太复杂了，说个简单的，高中
数学题的正确率问题。
我从小受到的教育就是没有“粗心”这一说，只有“正确率”这一说。
为啥有的人做高中数学题正确率始终高，秘诀在于任何一道题，
大脑在三个空间里同时做：（1）在符号空间演算，（2）在 spatial

代在川问题上的对立，我的假设是两方都有正常水平的critical thinking和fact
check的手段，而不是极端粉。两方的对立不在于这个水平上的差异。一代移民看待二
代在价值观上的偏离，用没有critical thinking来解释是最简单，但也是最武断没有
建设性的意见。 比如你的孩子带来的和你不同的但和主流社会思想一致的意见，你嗤
之以鼻“幼稚”。你难道在说，你所在的这个主流社会的价值都是没有critical
thinking能力的人得到的幼稚思想？这些上了藤校，当了某党，不管是对立两党中的哪
个，中坚的都是没有critical thinking能力的？

Avatar的烂番茄82%正评，其中top critics给正评的有94%.
Titanic烂番茄83%正评，其中top critics给正评的72%
G.I. Joe烂番茄36%正评，其中top critics给正评的26%
2012烂番茄正评39%， 其中top critics给正评的27%
当然烂番茄不能代表所有影评人，但是至少它是一个有统计的比较稳定的评价系统。尤
其是它的top critics一般来说都是公认的top critics, 至少公信力比你我是强的。
Avatar没有拿到影评人奖最佳影片很正常，因为从影评人的角度，还有比它更好的影片
，比如说拿奖的The Hurt Locker烂番茄正评97%, top critics也97%。但是不表示他们
就认为Avatar的plot跟G.I.Joe或者2012一个档次，这么说只能让大家觉得laughable.
影评人对于电影的影响力，娱乐性和以后的持久力并不care, 所以也不能就完全按他们
的标准说电影好坏。而且他们喜欢的Hurt Locker, |

2．方法论的转变
要想在科学研究上取得突破和成功，只有时间的付出和刻苦，是不够的。批判性分析（
critical analysis）是必须具备的一种素质。
研究生与本科生最大的区别是：本科生以吸取学习人类积累的知识为主、兼顾科学研究
和技能训练；而博士生的本质是通过科学研究来发掘创造新知识，当前和以往学习的知
识都是为了更好地服务于科学研究。在以学习知识为主的本科生阶段，提出问题固然重
要，但答案往往已经存在，所以问题是否critical没有那么关键。博士生阶段则完全不
