不过由于对公司名字还不熟，心想先用笔记下来公司名，省得等下忘记了，正得意忘形
之间，顺嘴开始拼写人家公司的名字，还说得一本正经："b.i.t.c.h......bitch, cor
rect?"。。。。。那男的终于还是没能忍住怒火，近似于怒吼似的对我喊道："NO!!! B
.E.A.C.H.....BEACH!!!!!!"

演唱会的票。于是怀着朝圣般的心情，走进了这个中
国短 暂摇滚史上的传奇。
去晚了一些，演出已经开始了。正演奏着的是“飞翔
鸟”，周围有些吵，听不太真切。丁武的嗓音似乎变
浑厚 了些，歌比专辑中更好听了些，但似乎缺少了
点什么。接过一支烟，吸了起来，烟雾从面前飘飞，

发帖数: 12 | 5 真遗憾没人提到Elton John！他可是classic rock的先驱啊，又把钢琴运用到Rock里，谱曲，弹琴，演唱，非常有才华。他影响了一大批歌手如Gun N'Rose和Freddie Murcury等等。中国歌迷包括我自己之前绝大多数听到的是他后期的作品如Can you feel the love tonight, Candle in the wind (for Princess Diana) and Sacrifice 等。这些都是优美的流行歌曲，但Elton在70年代的确摇滚来着。代表作有Crocodile Rock,Levon， Bennie and the Jets, Saturday night fight all right, , All the young girl love Alice, Dirty Little Girl（后面几首都在他那著名的 Goodbye Yellow Brick Road 专辑里）还有80 年代的 I'm Still Standing 等。他是70年代最亮的星，无人能及。他的嗓音既能唱摇滚又能演绎动听的抒情歌曲，有几十首上榜歌曲。 |

上回aiyayayaya推荐光头大哥Shel Silverstein的儿童书，我看了几本，深感他的《
The Giving Tree》应该像安徒生的《海的女儿》一样作为小孩的必读书——事实也的
确如此，我家两个孩子都在幼儿园里读过并喜爱这本书，就是没给我科普一下。这棵给
从小长大的男孩不断奉献出苹果、树枝、树干直至生命最后的树桩的giving tree，在
我看来就像父母之爱。当用苹果卖钱发财失败、用树枝造房娶妻失败、用树干造船远行
失败的男孩伤痕累累地回到儿时的家园时，奄奄一息的老树唯一能提供的正是他唯一需
要的——一个容他坐下歇息的树桩。故事的展开使读者对老树同情渐增，对孩子责备渐

我们所Max-Plunk-Institute进化与人类学分所简直就是国际大家庭。所里一共有6个系
。大部份都是来自世界各地的二十几岁的年轻人。有一天我们数一数，大家分别来自十
八九个国家，七大洲就除了南极洲没有代表啦。
正因为大家都是外地人，在莱比锡没有亲戚朋友，所以经常扎堆一起玩。几乎每个星期
都有party，还有足球赛啦，排球赛啦，要么去酒吧。我是在酒吧和party上认识这些朋
友的。以前算是个好孩子，不是周末12点之前要睡觉。在德国可好，经常玩到2点多。
有时候一个星期好几个party，去party比工作还累。我开玩笑说，反正这是度假，跟你
们拼了，大家一起熬夜，等我回了美国再好好睡觉。
在这个暑假，认识了那么多可爱的人，发生了这么多有趣的事。
Wendy，和我是校友，原来就在我们实验室帮过我那素未谋面的大大师姐的博士论文。
我们也很象，都是好孩子，为了学习牺牲了很多生活乐趣。然后在莱比锡我们俩同时悟
出：life is short，要好好享受生活。
Yarixa，加拿大来的。原来是西班牙裔，小时候移居英国，后来又去了加拿大。还好不

2002年去德国待了一个暑假，经历了一些些cultural shock。我本来觉得美国，德国，
都是资本主义强国嘛，应该差不多吧。去了之后，发现差别挺大。
德国超市
在美国，一般超市7点半或8点开门，晚上10点或11点关门，有的甚至24小时营业。在国
内，超市的营业时间也比较长。所以我去德国前的背景知识是：超市的功能是方便人民
生活。
到莱比锡的第一两天，还在倒时差，晕头转向的。而且研究所旁边有个小超市， 如果
不是和别人一起吃饭，我一天两顿都在那里解决，只知道商店晚上8点关门，也没往心
里去。
真正意识到德国超市营业时间与美国及中国的巨大不同在第一个周末。我们去柏林玩，
同行的一个女孩Wendy是美国来的，和我同一天到；另一个Yarixa是加拿大来的，在莱
比锡已待了3个月，算比我们了解一点当地文化。周六我们参观了两个博物馆，Wendy说
