East Asia alone (China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan) could be mostly self-sustained
if not completely. If US gives up the cheap labor in south Asia, somebody
will fill in the void.
Cuba is an interesting story. Cuban immigrants are a major pool of voters
for GOP. Normalizing with Cuba and stopping the dry feet and wet feet rule
is a good step towards limiting the growth of this GOP voters pool.
