移民局又开闸了，于是大伙儿全来趟这浑水。不管是 140 还没填的，抑或是 pending
的，更不要说批了的了，尤其是七月二号没赶上车的，大家一齐冲向 485 高地。
485 填表战，又开始了！
有的同学过于紧张，简单的问题也不敢把握，向白老师 (xiaobaitu, 呢称 XBT, 又称
小白兔 JJ 或 小白兔 MM) 求助的贴子是满天飞呀！就象北京春天的柳絮。
老师和系主任咬过好几次耳朵，建议挂个咨询公司的牌子，向白老师问一个问题的收一
毛钱，＂在线等＂的算 Premium Service 多收五分。系主任胆子太小，今天老师还说
，我们动手罢！他却总说道Ｎｏ！——这是洋话，你们不懂的。否则早已发了。
所以老师抄起剪子和浆糊，助白老师和其他大侠一鼻之力。

将Diop，Hassell全被送走了，不知道Cuban怎么想的。另外一个主要原因是当时的主教
练Avery Johnson能力超牛，小牛的成绩好和他关系很大，他接替的是Nelson，还是同一
批人，成绩立马提高。Avery Johnson当时是极力反对交易Kidd的，因为这样会完全破坏

已经发生过不止一次了。每每在几次好的交易后沾沾自喜，然后自作聪明的在季中调整
阵容，也不管 timing。就像一个做 day trade 的炒家，不炒就手痒一样。
火箭 12 月的时候打得正疯，球队化学作用正好的时候，他偏偏搞来了准毒瘤 Josh
Smith。然后前一段打得很好的 DMO 和 Papa 只能坐板凳。
现在这个火箭队很明显又找不到方向了，有得花十几场磨合。
冠军队化学作用和稳定性是头等重要的，火箭队又不是缺人。然而茉莉却始终认识不到
这一点。总是觉得有便宜不占就是吃亏。赛季初和 Cuban 吵得时候，Cuban 也骂过他
这一点。

在我ill-fated formal之后的那个秋天，我决心加入到一个ballroom
class里边。不记得究竟我为什么要这么下决心。可能当时只是好奇，或者
我只想在下个formal之前练会一点ballroom吧。哈佛ballroom team在开学
前有个free的观摩课，内容比较丰富，但是都在一个挤闹和脏兮兮的房子
里。上百人挤进去。老师们试图教我们好多种舞，但我只记得rumba了。这
也是为什么我叫rumbalad--编者按
看上去很简单嘛。我是说，开始的移动脚步，一点都不显得复杂。也教了
些花样。比如什么new yorker啊。还有比如叫什么肩连肩的，需要你向前
迈步超出拍档。也教了一个很cool的花样，叫cuban rock(后来我发现，其
实和syllabus里的cuban rock并不同),需要把舞伴拉向自己，同时rock
back on 4-1，并做些hip motion。我喜欢这个花样，但是看起来很多人并
不懂这个步子。总之，感觉很好。然后就教了叫fan的这个东 |

发帖数: 1029 | 44 Salsa其实是几种latin的不正式的总称，从节奏由快到慢来分，一般包括Mambo，Cha-
Cha，Rumba，还有Samba，和一种墨西哥人常跳的Merengue。
不过这里通俗意义上说的Salsa一般是指free style Mambo。如果看过电影Dirty Dance
，就知道Mambo是什么了。这种舞节奏可以非常快，每小节都是弱起，重音在第二拍。
Samba也可以很快，但重音永远在第一拍。
Cha-Cha节奏适中，最适合男女两人做chase。而且Cha-Cha也是Latin和Smooth里唯一一
个有点女带男味道的舞，因为可以女伴Lead direction，而男伴做chase。
Rumba最慢，因此最富有韵律感，Cuban Motion可以做的最充分。也是俺在Latin里的最
爱跳的。
至于Merengue，就是不停地march march，加上Cuban Motion。很多老墨都喜欢跳，俺
很不理解，俺觉得比北京平四差太远了。 |

在1上跳的人说他们是on conga
在2上跳的人说他们是on clave
on conga的人说他们和旋律（钢琴贝斯）的重音一致
on clave的人说clave是salsa band的灵魂，敲clave的人就是乐队指挥
还有人从历史上说，拉丁音乐的鼻祖cuban son, cuban rumba是on 1
三十年代到了纽约开始mambo时代改成on 2
有人从地域和流派来说，NY 派，LA派，puerto rico 派，columbia
派，古巴派，各有各的跳法
说到自己都有点晕了。我觉得大家还是怎么舒服怎么跳吧。
（题外话，chacha on 2是因为chacha是triple mambo来的，所以
继承的是mambo on 2. 这里的mambo是说几十年前跳的那个
不完全是现在的american style mambo。不过，因为mambo跳成on 1
也不算错误，所以有人说chacha on 1也是可以的。我觉得要细纠
舞布和音乐的关系，chacha的triple step应该对应音乐里的切分
(syncopation). chacha音乐的节奏有的在2和4 |
