太少的美国人真正能够适应现代社会所需要的工作。适龄男性劳动参与率处于大萧条以
来的最低点，鸦片类毒品滥用现象非常普遍，凶杀和暴力困扰着内陆城市。几乎有一半
的孩子都是非婚生子女，而更多的孩子由单身母亲抚养。许多大学生缺乏基本的技能，
高中生的排名低于世界上其他二十几个国家！

时间翻译了，大家凑着看吧。她有个感想我是比较赞同的，就是人容易把政治和文化混
在一起，失去真正的分辨力。
她有个PAPER 对比文化对早期教育的影响： 到高中的时候西方教育所谓的兴趣不再
WORK了，学生辍学率开始上升，中式教育开始有优势，学生把学习当成挑战坚持下来了

I mentioned spatial shifting of "the centers of powers and cultures", but I
DID NOT introduce the concept of "powerful culture" which you may have in
mind. (Using "influential" to describe a culture is more appropriate.) I did
question about how LITTLE you know about YOUR western culture, when you are
consistently unwilling to scratch even the surface of it. I don't think
