质不是就那么多一直在循环着？所谓的vegetarian，其实也是在吃尸体的重组物。
绝对意义上的不吃尸体，那就不用活了。PI之所以后来开始吃母亲的尸体，跟这个
decompose的过程也有关系。越是decompose的时间长，就越可以接受。
什么vegetarian呀，忌口统统是虚伪虚荣的象征。说自己是vegetarian，但是吃鱼，吃

faculty来说可以算是很牛B了，但是对于老方这种senior的已经搞了一辈子的人来说，
就只能算so so。不要说是院士，离aps fellow的级别也还差了不少。引用率最高的一
篇文章还是95年到了arizona之后跟老外合作的，被引118次，这也是方唯一一篇被引用
上百次的文章。可见方励之89之前确实没有做出过什么重要的工作，他的名声和地位绝
对是靠政治得来的，当然其中部分的也是80年在中国搞科普所得，必须承认科普工作也是
有重要的社会意义的。
(BTW，有人说你这个搜索未必完整。不错，确实不能保证100％毫无遗漏。但是我

有一些黑色的mulch会decomposed的很快。我家的flower bed在塑料布以上有3-4 in厚
的红色mulch，大概两年之后就都decompose成黑泥了。我去年还在mulch里面种番茄，
长得还不错。
mulch抑制杂草生长主要是靠遮挡阳光，所以一般需要铺2-3in厚度才能有效防止杂草，
如果草籽在表层的话，mulch并不会有什么抑制作用。
这几点到是实实在在的问题。garden fabric是需要事先除掉，但我觉得mulch可以跟
top soil混，然后用tiler跟下面的soil打在一块。大块的木屑还是得扒出来，否则地
面会比较软。 |

I remember being that age. I think it was the most dangerous time in my life
as you just become an adult all of the sudden and you don't know the rules
