北美的离婚率高达50%. 但并不是说离婚就是一件非常容易的事. 除
了精神上的折磨之外, 家庭和法庭还必须面对下面的一些问题:
1. 解除婚约.2. 小孩的归属和抚养.3. 配偶的赡养.4. 财产的分配.
5. 债务的分担.
离婚的每一方都有他们自己所关注的一些问题, 每一桩离婚都会有不
同的情况. 所以, 就有很多离婚的方式和步骤.
A. 分居协议 (Separation Agreement)在大多数的州, 如果双方在财
产的分配, 配偶的赡养, 以及孩子的归属及抚养等无异议的话, 离婚
可能会很快也很顺利. 假如以上的问题事先已解决, 那么留给法庭作
决定的事项就比较少了. 一对夫妇在以上的ISSUES达成一个大至框架
式的分居协议 (SEPARATION AGREEMENT), 可以呈递给离婚法庭, 作
为离婚判决(DIVORCE DECREE)的一部分.

去的local邮局，说明来意后，从后面来了个似乎专门负责passport的人。
几个经验和tip:
1. 不用说了，父母和孩子（哪怕你是newborn）都需要到场，不到的要sign那个
consent form，自己查。
2. 我家老大名字有个问题是出生时没用中间名，后来去法院申请把中间名加成了妈妈
的名字。本来打算附上certified court decree的，结果被退回来了，说光中间名不用
（MA的Birth certificate是即使你legally改了名也不会给你issue新的BC，我查了有
些州就可以）。
3。不需要孩子的Social Security Card。我在网上看到了有人说，以为可以做个

简单讲，如果J1 primary的豁免是在离婚前办的，则自动cover作为dependent的J2。如
此，只要拿到一份J1的豁免文件就可以了。但如果离婚之时J1 primary没有办豁免，则
J2需要在离婚后单独提出豁免。不过好像离婚双方能再见还是朋友的不多，在不确定是离
婚前还是离婚后办的情况下，为免狗血，建议还是直接当需要自己单独提出豁免处理，我
从提出申请到最后拿到豁免也就一个多月(DOS通过IGA申请recommend case到USCIS大
概一个月，后来USCIS处理case2周不到)。完全DIY的话，也就215刀申请费。
网上这方面的信息不多，更没有详细的DIY流程，只是简单知道只可以用IGA这种方法申
请，后来联系过一些华人律所，发现真正经办过这类case的律师几乎没有，很多都是一

什么是申根签证？
根据1985年在卢森堡申根的协定，欧洲部分国家开放边境。对于中国护照来说，只要申
请一个国家签证就可以在其余所有联盟国之间通行。
特别注意：
1. 中国护照持有者必须提前申请申根签证。即使你有美国绿卡也要申请。
2. 申根区域不同于欧盟，也不同于欧元区。比如英国和爱尔兰虽然属于欧盟，但是
都各有自己的签证，申根签证无法进入。挪威和瑞士虽然不属于欧盟，也不属于欧元区
，但是申根签证可以通用。
3. 申根签证仅限于旅游和商务目的。学生和工作等目的无法申请申根签证。
4. 申根签证不可以在联盟国的海外领土使用。比如要去法属圭亚那，需要在法国领
