到的，相信有恶魔扰乱的关系。另外，那时也已经有人认识到严重的心理冲突与精神疾
患的关系。
早在公元前四世纪，西方最大的思想家和哲学家之一亚里士多德就提到诗人、先知
、女预言家的精神病，说“在他们躁狂症发作的时候，就是优秀的出色的诗人，而此病
一旦治好，就再也写不出诗句了。”
古希腊另一个大哲学家柏拉图在他著名的“斐德若篇”中也说到精神病中“谵妄”
(delirium，朱光潜先生译为“迷狂”)对创造的关系。柏拉图说：
“……有一种迷狂是神灵的禀赋，人类的许多最重要的福利都是从它来的。就拿得
尔福的女预言家和多多那的女巫们来说吧，她们就是在迷狂状态中替希腊创造了许多福
泽，无论在公的方面或私的方面。若是在她们清醒的时候，她们就没有什么贡献。”
像这样的类似说法还有法国思想家布莱斯·帕斯卡尔，他曾不止一次说，极度的才
智与极度的疯狂非常接近；而另一个法国思想家和哲学家德尼·狄德罗则更是在“猜想
只有那些非凡绝世的近乎神性的人才是忧郁和忧郁质的人”之后，直接欢呼说：“啊!

physiological dependence of alcohol. If your LD drink alcohol heavily on a
daily basis, he should not start abstinence without close monitoring by a

Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
当仁不让的第一。很多人觉得节奏慢，比较闷，偏偏这就是我这一口。感情描摹极度细
腻，文笔非常优美，看到最后梦到母亲那一段都忍不住哭了，很长时间没有这样投入地
阅读了。看完接着看了作者的Little Friend和Secret History，相见恨晚。把这三本
书的纸质本都买齐了，极度期待她的下一本小说，但是估计得等很久。豆瓣上很多人说
写得不好，不排除有人的根本英语水平不够。:) 话说每次看到作者的照片就好奇，是
不是蕾丝边啊？怎么书的主角和叙述者都是男孩？

忘了是去年还是今年看的了，以前没怎么写过。描写印第安人生活的小说搞不好就写成
痛诉革命家史，一本血泪账什么的。这本写得角度独特。一者是从法律上出发，很有东
西让人思考；另一个是也算一本青春成长史，我比较偏爱的题材。情和理结合得很不错。

布隐私。大学时代，酒精带给我们的回忆至今仍历历在目： 一杯酒下去， 脸红了，
眼迷了， 暗恋的对象暴露了。。呵呵。
可惜事物都有两面性。
美国有一大批酒鬼，每年政府花费了大量的财富。 在当今medicare面临破产的窘境中
，居然没人提任何法案加以管制， 令人郁闷。
圣诞节期间，我在ICU看了3个因酒精入院的。都是30-50岁， intoxication, seizure
，和delirium tremor。这种人都没有保险，在ICU一呆就是3-7天， 花的都是纳税人的
钱哪！我牺牲我的假日， 得不到任何回报， 还要倒贴， 为的只是这帮酒鬼的花天酒
地。 要知道， 这些瘾君子戒酒的可能性只有1%，只要活着出院，肯定又是beer加
liquor，一杯又一杯。 就这样医院-家-酒店-医院，日复一日， 年复一年，Medicare
不破产才怪呢。
酒精引起肝硬化，肿瘤， 抑郁自杀， 消化道出血， 阳痿， 记忆下降，车祸 和婚姻

我觉得这样的讨论有助于大家提高学医热情，丰富医学知识，开拓临床思维， 间接帮

impressed，我想我的目的就达到了。
