Dental Insurance，Dentist在其network下，附件下是Claim EOB的截图。
图里显示的是：Metlife没有按Dentist office提供的Item付费($817)(可能用的是仿真
牙的牙冠，价格高些)，而是选择了价格低的($757)，并以此为标准付了50%($378.5)，
这些我理解。但是轮到我负责部分，却用的是($817-$378.5)，而不是($757-$378.5)。
我自己在整个过程中还算细心的，做了price estimation。当时也看到这个了，但没有
意识到我需要付这个价格差价。还以为dental insurance和我都是以这个低价格来付费
的。需要说明，Metlife提供的price estimation只说了它们cover多少，没有提供的是
patient要负责多少。另一方面，Dentist office小秘拿着price estimate跟我解释时

every year. Some dental schools require at least 40 hours of shadowing
experience. 80-100 hours should be safe. If you have green card, good DAT
score and GPA, it is not so difficult to get into dental school.

Emergency issues (e.g. for toothache or inflammation) can be settled for a
few hundred $. More involved dental treatment can be done before they leave
China, or after they go back. Doing them here is more expensive, more
demanding for them and you (e.g. language issues, follow-up), and not
necessarily better. |

pocket cost would be $90. Based on the estimate, I made my decision to
accept the deep cleaning service. I paid the estimate the dental office
said I'd be responsible for, but after the work was done and the claim
processed, I was left with a $600 bill because the estimate was processed

牙两次去买的那个保险， 每次洁牙要另外付个70刀。反正就一年两次， 还可以吧。
现在又该去洁牙了， 网上查了一下 argus dental master plan， plan type 是HMO
每月8刀左右， 不知道怎么样？
还有能不能推荐个洁牙的地方， 在gainesville的。

的第一天orientation的时候会解释各个plan的具体内容，可还是想提前做好功课，对
保险有个大致的了解比较好，大家畅所欲言哈~
背景介绍，单身无娃，在美国读书两年多没看过病，学校的保险虽然买了从来没用过（
T T 现在觉得浪费了。。）。所以有利于家庭的或者生孩子的可能不适合我哈。。。
Health issuance主要有Horizon和Aetna两个大类，每个大类里面有Horizon HMO，
Aetna HMO，Aetna Freedom15等等。首先纠结的是Horizon和Aetna哪个在NJ 中部覆盖
面大一些呢？或者说医生可信赖一些呢？其次，倾向于选HMO的，因为有一个主治医生
的话会对个人的病史有比较全面的了解。如果这样，在入职的时候就要选好Primary
Care Physician了么？怎么了解这方面的信息呢？有没有好的PCP推荐呀？

If you cant make a case for an exception, you are looking at 2 yrs of full time study of undergraduate courses without any assurance that you will get into any dental school.
I would try to network with people in the dental school. It is all about pulling the right string.

本人刚考上dental school 2年的international dentist program，2年后毕业拿D.D.S
然后就可以工作。问题是加州昂贵的学费和生活费，一年加起来要140k。
本人没有美国身份，没有美国亲戚，抱着试试看的心态今年考了这个项目，没想到面试
的第一所学校就中了，而且学校很好，不想放弃这个机会。
现在的问题就是钱钱钱……本人刚工作两年，没多少积蓄，从国内单位辞职还得赔偿数
额不小的一笔钱。普通家庭，没有一线城市的房子可以卖或者贷款……
求大家支支招，有没有可能找到有偿的co-signer从美国贷款呢？或者还能有别的出路
么？
照理说毕业之后dentist还贷款是应该没问题的……但如果因为没钱上不了学我真是要

的护工.职位比较低,收入也不高.ASSOCIATE DEGREE毕业就好比是2年的护校毕业,是
正式的牙医诊所的护士了.
至于和RADIOLOGY比哪个好我就不知道了. |

and highly in demand. However, dental hygiene program is hard to get in,
especially in community college, because their tuition is a lot cheaper than
good colleges and job oppotunities are similar. You would have to compete
with native people from good undergraduate schools for admission. I don't

国内临床本科毕业（不是牙科），但几乎没有在医院工作过，来美国后试过考波，能力
不够放弃了，不再考虑。除了ESL，没有在美国读过书。
来美国后做了好几年家庭主妇，现在家庭面临危机，需要自己挣钱。英语很一般，办事
交流没问题，但是电视剧没有字幕大概一半会听不懂，一群老外们聊天经常也是听不懂。
nurse和 dental hygienist差不多都要学四年，不知道哪个容易毕业？哪个毕业了更好
找工作？
我感觉似乎dental hygienist工作需要的英语范围要窄一些，是不是多接触了就会上手
得快些？
accounting完全没有背景，只是觉得自己的性格对数字那些还比较仔细，每个公司都需
要会计，是不是工作机会会多很多？
